Last night, he went out to earn some spare cash—and ran straight into the same lunatic killer who now, in a clean military uniform, introduces himself as Captain Kim Hayoon and hands over enlistment papers.

He thought he was being silenced. Instead, the madman was recruiting him.

“If you just follow orders, your entire family can live in comfort.”

His instincts screamed danger. This man was a threat—but the desperate grind of daily poverty made Kim Hayoon’s offer difficult to resist.

His life takes a sharp turn when he catches the eye of Kim Hayoon and is persuaded to enlist in the military with promises of curing Mateo’s illness and providing for his family.

Though burdened by the label “Zone B half-blood,” he quietly adapts to the military system—driven by his desire to protect those he loves.
