The owner of the advertisement on the server chat changed. And so did the recipient of whispers.

Ttunttuni, posting the ad in the server chat instead of guild leader Mollamolla, began to complain in the guild chat.

[Guild] Ttunttuni: Damn, do I look that easy? ㅠㅠ

[Guild] Ttunttuni: I’m the one gathering info, posting ads… Ugh…

[Guild] Anew: Weren’t the guild leader and you supposed to handle inquiries? Why me…?

[Guild] Ttunttuni: That bastard’s lost it;

Anew’s spine tingled at the unusual reactions of his guildmates. An unthinkable scenario crept into his mind, making him uneasy. The guild leader is furious, and a 5-star appeared after a long time?

The madness and rage emanating from Mollamolla’s message were palpable. Anew cautiously whispered to the vice guild leader, Ttunttuni.

[Whisper] Anew: Dude, no way

[Whisper] Anew: Did our guild leader miss a 5-star right in front of him?

[Whisper] Ttunttuni: Yeah;;;

[Whisper] Anew: Oh… really?

[Whisper] Ttunttuni: Seems like he got tangled up with some crazy guy; He’s not even answering my calls right now, he’s flipped

[Whisper] Anew: lol Crazy;; This actually happens

[Whisper] Ttunttuni: This is the first time I’ve seen him like this;

[Whisper] Anew: That bad, huh ㄷㄷㄷ

Ttunttuni and Anew were in charge of receiving tips because they were the most socially adept members of the Goldfish guild.

The youngest, Ketchup, was clueless, Psycho had a foul mouth, Ari s0ng was eccentric, and Meow, with his constant roleplaying, only communicated with “heh heh” and “meow,” making them unreliable.

As Ttunttuni and Anew, burdened with the task, focused on the incoming tips from Youngil, Jaein, who had been frantically posting advertisements, finally received a useful tip.

[Whisper] HealHow: Guild leader Dambi<< Is that right?

[Whisper] Mollamolla: Yeah

[Whisper] HealHow: Just passed by me

[Whisper] Mollamolla: Hold on

Jaein received a party invitation from HealHow and immediately used a portal to his location.

As the loading screen faded, a familiar silhouette came into view. A Valkyrie class in flamboyant attire, Dambi.

Confirming that it was indeed the guy he was looking for, Jaein gave HealHow a thousand gold and immediately chased after him.

“Let’s see who wins.”

He had already given up on rational thought. Or rather, even if he tried to think rationally, he couldn’t just let it go.

Not believing him and calling him crazy, snatching the 5-star Conimon right in front of him and then taunting him. Even if Jaein considered the accidental advertisement a misunderstanding, the guy deliberately acted like a jerk to provoke him.

He couldn’t just stand by after being treated like this; he’d be a spineless fool. Honestly, he wanted to be cool about the 5-star Conimon… but this was just too much.

Anyway, he felt he needed to get revenge for his bruised ego to be able to sleep soundly. Of course, even after getting revenge, the memory of that day would still infuriate him, but there would be a clear difference between having retaliated and not.

Jaein glared at Dambi’s back as he ran, oblivious to being followed.

“Just looking at him pisses me off.”

His blood pressure seemed to be rising again, so he took a deep breath to calm himself. Getting too worked up would be counterproductive; he needed to maintain his composure. He couldn’t let his emotions fluctuate like this every time he saw the guy.

The problem was that to properly get revenge, he needed to, himself, acquire a 5-star Conimon, which appeared only once every one or two months, and he had to do it in front of Dambi. It was a high-difficulty mission, but there was no other way, so he planned to brute-force it with sheer quantity.

Jaein occasionally used teleportation to close the distance with Dambi. He hid behind nearby rocks and trees, maintaining a moderate distance, neither too close nor too far, while passing by several groups of monsters.

Then he finally spotted a monster with a diamond point. Dambi, having also noticed it, turned towards it. Jaein seized the opportunity.

“I’ve prepared thoroughly for you, Dambi.”

Jaein grinned coldly and darted ahead of Dambi. The guy faltered for a brief moment, quickly grasped the situation, and followed. Jaein was surprised by his quick reaction time, but it didn’t matter.

Dambi, thinking he could easily overtake him, started talking while running.

[General] Dambi: What the??

[General] Mollamolla: ?? What?

[General] Dambi: Why are you here?

Judging by his reaction, he still had the noisy server chat closed. He’d also blocked all whispers, so he hadn’t received any tips about someone looking for him. Hence his reaction.

Thanks to that, the situation wasn’t too bad.

[General] Mollamolla: Is this map yours?

[General] Mollamolla: What’s it to you if I’m here?

[General] Dambi: …

Jaein pretended he hadn’t been looking for Dambi and smirked, using a movement speed increase scroll. Mollamolla’s speed increased, and he shot forward.

Dambi, gradually falling behind, looked bewildered. It was understandable. No one used movement scrolls in the field.

“This cost a fortune.”

Scrolls were expensive items used by top-tier parties aiming for speedruns or in raids. Each one cost 100 gold, but they only lasted for 15 seconds, so how could anyone use them carelessly in the field? They were precious scrolls to be hoarded like a squirrel collecting acorns, even for dungeon use.

But for Jaein, it wasn’t such a burdensome item. He was the guild leader of the Monarch guild and wasn’t short on money. His pride was more important.

Anyway, even with Dambi’s Valkyrie speed, he couldn’t catch up after Jaein’s head start. Even if he used a speed scroll now, it would be impossible to close the gap.

Eventually, Dambi stopped, and Jaein claimed the monster.

After quickly clearing the surrounding monsters, Jaein grinned triumphantly at Dambi.
