Someone licked my earlobe and then lightly nibbled it. I knew exactly who would do such a thing.

    “Woong-ah….”

My dog, Minwoong, woke me up like this every morning.

“Hmm, Minwoong, hyung wants to sleep a little more.”

Without even opening my eyes, I hugged Minwoong tightly.

    Huh? Something felt strange.

The skin was smooth. Minwoong is a mixed breed with short fur, but not this smooth. And those firmly defined muscles…

My Minwoong is a bit of a porker, but not a muscle pig…

Wait, that’s not the issue! Forget about fur or body fat, this wasn’t a dog.

    My eyes shot open.

    “Oh! Whoa! Ah! Aack!”

I was startled four times in a single second.

Once, because the creature in front of me was a person, not a dog.

Once, because the man was incredibly handsome.

Once, because the handsome man was naked.

And lastly, because the naked man was Joo Seunghyuk.

Everything was shocking, but the last fact was particularly horrifying.

    “Why…?”

Why on earth was the obsessive, psychotic top from the original novel in my bed?!

    ༺♛༻

I awakened as an S-rank Guide at the age of fourteen. Just as I was filled with hope that my life would be a bed of roses, I suddenly realized that I was in the world of a BL novel.

Specifically, the hopeless, hardcore, and emotionally damaging BL novel, Guide’s Swamp.

Oh, and for the record, that’s absolutely not my kind of thing.

In my past life, I was an ordinary young man who enjoyed heartwarming stories full of dreams and hope.

The reason I ended up reading hardcore, emotionally damaging BL was all because of that damn livelihood.

After joining a publishing company, I was suddenly put in charge of the BL genre.

Having no clue what BL even was before joining, I frantically read through the best-ranking novels for research purposes, and among them was Guide’s Swamp.

The fact that this was the world of a novel wasn’t that shocking in itself. However, the moment I realized it was Guide’s Swamp, I despaired.

Out of all the books I’d read! Why did it have to be Guide’s Swamp?!

The plot of Guide’s Swamp could be summarized in one sentence: “A bottom’s life gets ruined after being targeted by an obsessive, psychotic top.”

Kim Jun, an F-rank Guide, barely manages to enter the state-run “Korean Academy of Abilities” thanks to a recommendation from his high school teacher.

His excitement about entering Korea’s top ability training facility is short-lived. Kim Jun faces constant scorn and bullying due to his F-rank status.

Despite the relentless harassment, he perseveres, and Joo Seunghyuk, a third-generation chaebol heir and S-rank Esper, develops a strange curiosity towards him. This curiosity eventually morphs into an obsession.

Unable to endure the destructive and violent obsession, Kim Jun tries to escape, but this only intensifies Joo Seunghyuk’s possessiveness.

In the end, Kim Jun is confined to Joo Seunghyuk’s house like a caged bird, living a life forever cut off from the world.

Four out of the five volumes of this hardcore novel were filled with explicit scenes, but after reading it, I couldn’t recall anything erotic. All I could remember was how incredibly pitiful the bottom was…

Despite being born into this hopeless novel, there was a sliver of hope: I wasn’t the main character!

I wasn’t ‘Kim Jun,’ the F-rank Guide who was despised and then captured by the obsessive, psychotic top. Nor was I ‘Joo Seunghyuk,’ the obsessive, psychotic top driven mad by his troubled childhood.

But just because it wasn’t the worst-case scenario didn’t mean my current situation was optimistic.

I was reborn as ‘Lee Yeonsoo,’ the villainous sub-bottom of this novel.

Lee Yeonsoo was Joo Seunghyuk’s exclusive Guide.

As one of the fewer than ten S-rank Guides in Korea, he was able to sign an exclusive Guide contract with Joo Seunghyuk despite his young age.

Lee Yeonsoo’s life as an ordinary citizen changed drastically after becoming Joo Seunghyuk’s exclusive Guide. However, he wasn’t satisfied and yearned for a deeper relationship with Joo Seunghyuk.

If they imprinted and married, the S-rank Esper’s abilities and vast fortune would become entirely his.

But Joo Seunghyuk only held contempt for Lee Yeonsoo.

Not only did Joo Seunghyuk ignore him, but he chose Kim Jun, an F-rank Guide, which drove Lee Yeonsoo’s jealousy to its peak.

Lee Yeonsoo committed all sorts of atrocities, from harassing Kim Jun to orchestrating his kidnapping, and ultimately met his demise at the hands of Joo Seunghyuk.

It was a miserable end, befitting a villain.

‘Come to think of it, Lee Yeonsoo’s fate seems even more hopeless…’

Still, it was fortunate that I remembered the original story early on.

If I had been even a little late, I would have excitedly accepted the exclusive Guide contract with Joo Seunghyuk, completely oblivious to the fact that he was a budding obsessive, psychotic top.

“I refuse the exclusive contract with Esper Joo Seunghyuk.”

The day I realized this was the world of the novel, I rejected the exclusive Guide contract with Joo Seunghyuk.

This meant giving up the enormous contract fee and the luxurious life of a chaebol family, but I had no regrets.

Becoming the exclusive Guide of an obsessive, psychotic top would only lead to a bleak future.

Thus, I completely departed from the original storyline and lived my own life, separate from Joo Seunghyuk and Kim Jun.

As one of the few S-rank Guides and Espers in Korea, I occasionally encountered them at national events or Gate subjugation sites, but we rarely had personal conversations.

I avoided him, and Joo Seunghyuk showed no interest in me.

With his overwhelming abilities, Joo Seunghyuk earned the nickname “S-rank among S-ranks” and graduated high school a year early.

He entered the Korean Academy of Abilities the same year as me.

This followed the same flow as the original story.

As I was the top Guide and Joo Seunghyuk the top Esper, the chances of encountering each other increased tenfold, but I desperately avoided him.

Of course, Joo Seunghyuk perceived me as nothing more than a pebble on the ground, but I couldn’t be complacent, given that this was the setting of the original story.

The original story’s coercive force might kick in, and Joo Seunghyuk might try to kill me.

Hearing this, one might think I’m overreacting.

I hadn’t thrown myself at Joo Seunghyuk like in the original story, nor had I harassed the main bottom. Why would Joo Seunghyuk suddenly harm someone completely unrelated to him?

But having read the original story, I can say with 100% certainty: Joo Seunghyuk is capable of it. He was a madman who could kill someone simply for being annoying.

For the past year, I had lived cautiously, careful not to annoy Joo Seunghyuk or even make eye contact with him.

I erased any romantic campus life fantasies from my mind and lived solely with the goal of avoiding Joo Seunghyuk.

I planned to continue holding my breath until the end of the original storyline.

So why was the obsessive, psychotic top from the original novel in my bed? Naked, no less?

I backed away and scrambled out of bed.

    “Why, why…?”

Scream-like words tumbled out, failing to form coherent sentences.

    Joo Seunghyuk’s eyes flashed coldly.

    “Why? Disappointed it’s not Minwoong?”

Joo Seunghyuk and I were classmates, but we had no personal relationship, so we used formal language with each other.

Suddenly, he was speaking informally. But this wasn’t the time to address his rudeness.

    “What? Eek!”

Before I could even process the meaning of his question, Joo Seunghyuk roughly yanked my arm. The force pulled me right into his embrace.

As our bodies touched, I felt Joo Seunghyuk’s body heat intensely.

Why, even though we’re just briefly hugging? The question arose, but at the same time, I realized I was also naked.

Why was I naked too? But fear overshadowed my confusion.

    I quickly lowered my head.

    “Ah! I, I’m sorry…”

I hoped he didn’t think I had intentionally hugged him…

His mood already seemed foul; if he thought I liked him, it would be the end.

As I tried to pull away from Joo Seunghyuk’s embrace, he gripped my shoulders tightly.

The S-rank Esper’s strength pressed into my shoulders, drawing a moan from me.

    “Ugh…”

    “Who is Minwoong?”

    “Huh?”

“Which bastard are you calling for before you even open your eyes?”

    “Th, that is…”

“You spend the night with me, then call for another guy? How do you think that makes me feel?”

    Spend the night?

I had no idea what had happened, but one thing was clear: if I said the wrong thing, Joo Seunghyuk might kill me.

I had underestimated the original story. I never imagined a death flag would be raised so abruptly and without context or reason.

I felt like an extra in a horror movie, killed off senselessly at the very beginning.

Tears welled up in my eyes from the fear of impending death. Yet, even as I cried, Joo Seunghyuk’s gaze only grew colder.

“Lee Yeonsoo, I hate repeating myself. I’ll ask one last time. Who is Minwoong? Which bastard is he?”

The aura surrounding him fluctuated coldly, as if threatening to kill me at any moment.

Terrified, I desperately forced my frozen tongue to move.

    “…D, dog.”
