FLBE Chapter 9 Part 7
by SYLPHShe was the first to make him interested in something other than magic. And the method he came up with was this sigil of a promise. And just as he planned, she was almost completely drawn in.
Watching her still murmuring to his stomach as if soothing a baby, Lance couldn’t resist his desire any longer. He grabbed the back of her head and grumbled with uncontrollable desire.
“I’m dying, woman!”
“heup!”
Lance suddenly kissed her, his tongue swirly in her mouth wantonly. The taste of the Omega’s saliva, after so long, made him feel a surge of ar*usal.
Meanwhile, Liena’s eyes. which were focused on his stomach, widened for a different reason. Despite all the divine energy she poured into his wound, it had only been getting worse. But the moment they kissed, it truly began to heal.
When the wound was completely closed, Lance finally let go of her lips, which he had been nibbling and sucking on for a long time. He who had convincingly made her believe his illusion, now was panting with a pale face.
“Haaa…Is it really real?”
“You’re a dangerous woman.”
“Huh?”
“Never mind. Now you know I wasn’t lying, right?”
Lance’s words made her nod absentmindedly. Her dazed expression made him chuckle as he stood up. Dropping the illusion spell, Lance prepared to finalize his act.
“Now, tell me. What vow do you want me to make to come with me?”
“….”
She was so surprised for a moment that she completely forgot what he had said. With her heart wavered again, she looked at the sigil and pondered.
Can I really leave? Will everything be okay if I disappear?
Just as Rhetrik wanted, Liena’s mind was now filled with thoughts of him. However, it wasn’t in a good way, and her gaze soon became clear and determined.
Yeah, I can’t live like this. Why should I live in such a state? This is my life! I won’t let it have a bad ending.
Lance had said Roan was his friend, so she believed he would understand if she explained everything to him. She wanted to run to the temple right away and tell him about her situation, but she was afraid it might cause a war between the two men. She didn’t want to create any more trouble because of herself.
Leaving Emma behind didn’t sit well with her, but maybe Emma would be better off without her. With this thought, Liena made up her mind.
Yes, let’s go. Let’s live freely. With Lance and Roan, Rhetrik won’t be able to do anything.
After organizing her thoughts, Liena took a deep breath and began to speak.
“Hoo, first of all…”
Seeing her resolute expression as she prepared to state her conditions, Lance struggled to suppress a smile, instead maintaining a serious demeanor as he looked at her.
“I will act according to my own will. Promise me you won’t force me.”
“Alright.”
He looked at the sigil and spoke.
“Sigil of the promise. I hereby vow. I, Lance, will not force Liena and will accompany her wherever she wishes to go.”
As he finished speaking, the sigil glowed red again and then vanished. Seeing this, Liena glared at Lance and questioned him.
“What is this?”
“Huh?”
“Why are you coming with me?”
“Well, I have to. Didn’t you see it earlier? I’m bound to you now. Three times a day? If I don’t do it, I’ll die.”
“…Ha! Unbelievable.”
“Plus, don’t you know it’s dangerous for you to go alone? Ah, you still don’t realize how many Alphas there are in this world, do you?”
“…!”
At his words, Liena’s eyes twitched. She hadn’t thought that far. She had lived very peacefully until she manifested as an Omega.
“Alright, we don’t have much time. Let’s get moving. The Emperor will be here soon.”
Hearing the word “Emperor,” Liena became anxious and quickly thought of something. She smiled slyly and spoke firmly.
“Second, don’t touch my body without my permission.”
“Huh?”
“Like last time, don’t touch my body without my permission!”
“…Hmm, alright.”
He readily agreed, looking at the sigil of promise again. Then, with a serious voice, he spoke again.
“Sigil of the promise. I hereby vow. I, Lance, will not touch Liena’s body without her permission. But if she allows it, I will.”
“Ugh!”
Liena glared fiercely at him for his added comment. However, this time the sigil, which had flashed red, completely vanished.
“What, what is this?!”
“There are always three promises. Don’t you know everything comes in threes?”
“Damn… Why do you keep adding those conditions!”
“Just don’t give permission. What’s so hard about that?”
“What…?”
“You never know. What if you go into heat and beg me? I’ve thought it all through.”
Strangely, listening to him made her nod involuntarily. After all, hadn’t she seen how Alphas transform when they go into heat through Roan? She was secretly afraid of what might happen to her if she entered her heat cycle. And Lance cleverly exploited that fear.
“Alright, all done? Let’s go now.”
“Wait a minute.”
“Hmm?”
“Are we really leaving just like this?”
“What else should we do? Want to kiss one more time if you’re feeling sad?”
“That’s not it! Haa, just keep your promises. Otherwise, you might end up in pieces.”
“Don’t worry. I might look like this, but I am a man who always keeps his promises.”
Finding herself unexpectedly leaving the palace with an unexpected man in an unexpected way, Liena kept looking back, feeling an inexplicable regret pulling her back.
However, the man, as sharp as a knife, soon cut through her lingering hesitation decisively.
“I’ll buy you everything you need again. So don’t take anything from here. Leave all those unnecessary worries and regrets behind.”
“Mmp!”
Liena’s eyes darkened as the man suddenly kissed her. And in an instant, her entire view changed.
* * *
The refreshing air brushed against Liena’s nose. She heard strange birdsong and sweet music that tickled her ears. She felt light as if floating, even though she was still a bit drowsy. Something kept tickling her face, causing her eyelids to flutter.
“What are you doing? Open your eyes.”
“Huck!”
At the man’s words, Liena slowly opened her eyes and exhaled the breath she had been holding. She was startled by the purple eyes so close to her and quickly backed away. After giving him a brief glare, she looked around, feeling a strange sensation.
