AWWEWNR Chapter 57
by Nikiniks💫
[Ah, no…! No! Ahhhh!]
Hanaella’s voice came as Shia was trying to hold back the fifth load.
Her voice was piercing and nerve-wracking as she cried out in pain, even though he knew she was in no danger.
The sound of her voice shuddering in protest made me shudder. I began to wonder if she was crying out in pain or pleasure.
And then, [Aaah! Stop! Hmph! Umm!]
Hanaella’s ‘Stop!’ snapped the bonds of reason.
In a flash, Shia teleported to where Hanaella was.
Although he knew he was doing the same thing he had done the first time he teleported, his anger rose to the top of his head when she cried out in protest and demanded it be stopped.
So, as soon as the shifted body was in full form, he drew his sword and pointed it at the man’s throat.
Edward, who was lying on his side with one of Hanaella’s legs draped over his shoulder and a firm grip on her waist.
Holding her up on one knee in a kind of stretched-open position, his eyes widened in surprise as the man who had suddenly appeared pointed his sword at his throat.
Hanaella, who had been leaning against him with her legs apart and tears welling up in her eyes, also looked up at Shia with startled rabbit eyes as the teleported Shia stood stoic and pointed the sword at Edward’s throat.
Shia stared at them, wide-eyed, shocked by the strange posture of a man and woman he had never seen before.
💫
“Isn’t it about time you realized that I’m not in danger?”
Hanaella, hastily wrapped in a futon, pressed her forehead with her hand and said to Shia, who was sitting on the couch across from her.
His gaze was fixed on Edward.
One corner of Edward’s mouth tilted upward as he realized that Shia was staring at him like he was going to kill him. No wonder he looked at him that way.
He’d put a sword to my throat the moment he appeared, and yet I refused to stop until I’d finished off my load.
“Tell me, Lord Shia. Are you going to show up every time I do something like this?”
“…”
“Why in the world did this happen again when it was so obvious?”
“Again? Has it happened before?”
Edward asked as he leaned against the wall, arms crossed, staring at Shia in his robe.
“While tending to His Highness, the Crown Prince.”
The answer came from Hanaella’s mouth, and Edward’s eyes widened slightly at her words.
Does that mean His Highness knows about the healing magic she uses? Didn’t she say it was a family secret?
‘Is it okay for His Highness to know such a thing?’
Normally, if such a secret reached the ears of the imperial family, they would surely use its power for the good of the imperial household.
“Don’t worry, the Crown Prince will not tell the Emperor about my family’s secrets.”
As if reading Edward’s expression, Hanaella told him.
Edward smiled sweetly at her, but he couldn’t help but think.
Even if he didn’t tell the Emperor now, Hayden’s dark healing would eventually be used for the Crown Prince, who would become the next Emperor, as long as he knew.
It’s only a matter of time before the secret of Ariel’s family comes to light, and with the cure in the Emperor’s hands, the opposition must do whatever it takes to keep Hanaella away from him.
It was as clear as fire that her life would be in danger.
‘Not speaking to the Current Emperor will make you feel safe, my lady. You might spend the rest of your life helping him heal.’
Edward wished he could find a way to prevent Hanaella from using her healing magic on anyone else.
“More than that, Lord Shia. Answer my question.”
Hanaella turned her gaze back to Shia.
“…”
“I thought I asked you if this was how you wanted to appear every time I used healing magic.”
Shia, who had kept his mouth tightly shut at Hanaella’s question, with a slightly sour look on her face, reluctantly opened it when she pressed him for an answer.
“If you don’t want me to appear this way, then don’t perform the healing act. That’s not how you’re supposed to use the secret spells of the Ariel family, is it?”
Looking at Shia’s reproachful tone, Hanaella replied that she had no choice.
Shia refused to back down and told her that even if she had no choice, she shouldn’t use magic that was sealed by the family, much to Hanaella’s dismay.
This was a man who could barely make eye contact with her, but something had changed.
A lot…
The look of anger on his face, the hostility in his eyes toward Edward.
Hanaella had mixed feelings about Shia, who had been like a brother to her that she never had.
Edward realized that Shia, who had signed a life covenant with Hanaella, was growing fond of her, and he looked at her with a smile on his face.
He was not amused, feeling like an unwelcome intruder in the middle of a young couple.
“My Lady had her reasons.”
“There shouldn’t be a reason. It’s a family secret, and a family secret is something that shouldn’t be brought to the surface in the first place.”
That’s what Edward thought, too.
It was true that as long as the Crown Prince knew the secret, Hanaella was in danger.
Healing magic was best kept under wraps, in more ways than one.
“That doesn’t mean I’m condemning or complaining about your behavior, Lady Hanaella, for I’m in no position or right to do so.”
“…”
“But.”
Shia glanced at Edward. Despite seeing him, he couldn’t get the image out of his head of him holding Hanaella in an odd position and thrusting his manhood inside her when he arrived here and held his sword to his throat.
‘He only let go of Hanaella’s legs when he was done with her, you bastard.’
Shia knitted his brow at Edward, whom he disliked more than the Crown Prince.
Edward raised a corner of his mouth at Shia’s obvious hostility toward him.
“I hope you don’t need to use your healing magic.”
Shia said, turning his head to look at Hanaella.
Hanaella was puzzled, and Edward raised a brow.
“I think so, too. I would advise you not to speak of healing magic to anyone in the future, even if they are dying before your eyes.”
“…”
“The teleportation component of the Covenant is a fascinating spell, by the way.”
Edward said, looking at Shia.
💫
Sitting across from Hanaella in the carriage, Shia was staring out the window with a frown on his face.
She was exhausted from Edward’s incessant questioning regarding the existence covenant and teleportation.
He’d been pestering her about how he wanted to see her turn to smoke and back to a fully formed human being once more, due to the dark magic behind teleportation.
Hanaella was not unaware of Shia’s feelings, as she was baffled by Edward’s behavior.
“I didn’t realize he was like that, Duke Edward. He has a childlike curiosity.”
Hanaella muttered as she looked out the window, and Shia spoke to her without looking away.
“He’s a strange man.”
“Whew. He is, but he’s a great man.”
‘Someone who, if I can get him on my side, will help His Highness the Crown Prince become Emperor.’
“…Great?”
‘Great.’
Now that she remembered all the voices she hadn’t heard in her dreams, it was clear that Hanaella’s return was for the Crown Prince’s benefit.
Though she hadn’t realized the cost of using forbidden magic was so great, it wasn’t all bad, as it would allow her to take revenge on the Thearine siblings.
Now that she had gotten to know Lloyd, she didn’t want him to die.
In any case, to protect Lloyd, it was better for Edward to take his hand than to hold the Empress’s as he had done in the past.
“Yes, he is great. He is exactly what we need.”
Hanaella’s words made Shia wonder who the word ‘we’ referred to, but he didn’t ask. It seemed like he had a vague idea.
