    Chapter Index

It didn’t take more than a few repetitions before he heard Hanaella’s gasping, muffled scream.

It would be ungentlemanly of Lloyd to tease her too much for the first time.

Lloyd stopped his thrusts and kissed her lips as she let out a wet moan.

Damp dew formed at the corners of her eyes as he thrust his tongue between her already small open lips.

The lining of her insides clenched tightly around his shaft as he increased the intensity of his sucking.

Lloyd couldn’t hold back and resumed thrusting.

His movements became faster by the second. As he spat out a string of sobs through muffled lips, Hanaella reached up and wrapped her hands tightly around Lloyd’s face.

Her whole body tensed, and her back arched, indicating that she was nearing her peak.

    “Hmph—!”

As her tight inner walls clamped down on his own, Lloyd couldn’t hold back and released his load in a ragged gurgle.

Hanaella felt her entire body drained of energy by the overwhelming, breathtaking sensations.

Lloyd had never felt so satisfied. The tightness inside her as she reached her peak brought a chilling sensation of pleasure.

“We’re in for something, both of us.”

Lloyd, lying next to Hanaella, staring at the cave ceiling and breathing heavily, said with a hint of embarrassment.

Hanaella was a little flustered, having not thought of it this far.

But the water had already been spilled. It had felt good to be doing it with Lloyd, so that was all that mattered.

    “Hanaella.”

He called her, as she fumbled with the clothes Lloyd had stripped from her.

There was no honorific after it. Lloyd’s voice was soft, almost affectionate, and Hanaella felt a strange twinge.

    “Yes, Your Highness.”

    “Thank you.”

    “…”

The words were unexpected. She hadn’t expected to hear gratitude from the Crown Prince’s lips.

    “For saving my life.”

    “…Of course.”

“You even used your family’s secret that shouldn’t have been used for me.”

“To save His Highness, the Crown Prince, the little sun of the Empire. The secret of the Ariel family is of no consequence.”

“True, but I’m glad to hear you say so.”

    “…I’m flattered.”

“I will keep my word, and I will not let anyone know that you have healed me.”

    “I’m honored.”

“In exchange, I will grant you anything you wish, in exchange for the use of your body.”

“…I don’t want anything, I just want you not to tell anyone this secret.”

“You saved the royal family, and you deserve a reward. So take your time, tell me what you want, and I’ll grant you anything.”

    “…I am grateful.”

“And… we should keep the details of the attack out of your knowledge. Being implicated in the attempted murder of an imperial family member will get you in trouble in more ways than one.”

Lloyd’s words made Hanaella think of Lionel.

She didn’t know whether to say that he looked like the culprit, but then remembered that it was a capital offense to accuse a member of the royal family without proof, so she stopped herself.

    “…Yes, Your Majesty.”

    “Ren.”

    “…?”

    “Call me Ren.”

“How dare I use His Imperial Highness’ middle name…!”

Imperials in the Hayden Empire had a middle name preceded by a sub-name.

It was customary for the father to name the child’s main name and the mother to name the child’s secondary name, so the royal family’s secondary names were special.

After leaving the imperial family and being knighted, most imperials would lose their second names, but the Emperor’s name would remain with him until his death.

So for Lloyd, giving Hanaella the name given to him by the Empress before him was like giving her permission to do everything.

“I don’t think it’s proper to be formal after you saved my life and our bodies shared.”

“Call me whatever you like. I’m fine.”

“I’m not okay with it. I’m casually calling you to get to know you, but what’s the point of me calling you by your name alone if the two of us are together?”

    “…”

“If you don’t mind, my first name is fine. Though I personally prefer ‘Ren’ because it’s what my mother used to call me.”

    “Then, Your Highness Ren…”

“You can drop the ‘Your Highness’ when we’re alone.”

Lloyd smirking at her. Hanaella’s face heated with belated embarrassment, and she grabbed Lloyd’s pants off the ground beside her and held them out to him, telling him to put them on quickly.

    💫

The hunt was hastily halted when the Crown Prince returned to the base in a blood-soaked robe.

Thanks to Hanaella, the wounds were not deep, but the sight of his blood-soaked robes and the arrow in Lloyd’s hand froze everyone in their tracks.

How dare they attempt to kill the Crown Prince of the Empire.

The hunting festival had turned into a hunt for the culprit, and the Empress’s face had turned white at the Crown Prince’s words that the killer was on horseback.

    Lloyd stared at the Empress.

Their eyes met, and she looked as concerned for him as ever.

The Empress was a master of facial expressions. But she was clearly surprised when he told her about the horse, and her surprise was mixed with embarrassment.

Lloyd was well aware that whether it was the Empress or the others behind her, she was the one who wanted his life.

He suspected the Empress was responsible for this one as well. She had been trying to kill him for years, with poison, assassins, and other things.

She was a tireless provocateur, even when she knew that Atheronia’s protection would prevent it from happening, but this was a bit surprising.

An intelligent Empress would know how dangerous it would be for her to target my life at the Hunt.

The Empress, who hadn’t planned on taking Lloyd’s life at the Hunting Festival, as Lloyd had thought, because of the many dangers involved, had quickly concocted an alibi for Lionel. She heard that her son had put an arrow in Lloyd’s back.

But she hadn’t expected Lloyd to have seen the horse, and now the Empress’s feet were under fire.

It didn’t take much research to realize that she was the one who brought the horse to the hunt, and that it was Lionel who rode it.

‘Lionel, I can’t believe I let him ride back there, worried about him returning with such a heavy haul of game.’

The Empress racked her brain, trying to think of a way out of this predicament.

“Do you mean to say that he rode into the Forest of Demons on horseback?”

The captain of the imperial guard asked Lloyd in surprise, and Lloyd nodded as he put on the new jacket his aide had handed him.

“A white horse. It’s illegal, so I’m sure it’s not in the entry records.”

    “I’ll look into it.”

“Your Majesty, I think you should return to the palace and seek medical attention first.”

Her aide Jarez said with concern, and the Empress, who had come to them by now, turned to Lloyd.

“That’s right, Crown Prince. I think it would be best to have the doctor examine your wounds first.”

Lloyd stared at the Empress. In public, and in front of the Emperor, she was a loving mother who cared about and loved Lloyd.

When no one else was around, she unleashed her true diabolical nature, but in the presence of a single person, she put on the face of a woman who thoroughly loved the Crown Prince and her stepson.

The mask had gotten him into trouble in his younger days, but he blamed it on his father, the Emperor, and the rest of the imperial family.

If he had grown up as normal, he would have grown crooked, and the Crown Prince’s place would have been taken by Lionel.

But Lloyd was smart, and he knew what good it would do to anger the Empress’s duplicitous persona.

Lloyd had to save himself and his sister Liege from the Empress’s false persona, and he worked hard to do so.

As a result, he became as skilled at disguising himself as the Empress herself.

“My heart aches for you as a mother. How surprised and frightened I was, my prince,” said the Empress.
