Something Beyond the Night Sky
On the Tapchallahn Plateau—the highest land in the Kamilak Empire, which shares a border with Karkus—lies a border garrison formed by the Baldars, who have vowed to become burning swords.
Abet Naz, the garrison’s leader, rescues a Baldar who is wandering through the snowy wilderness with no memory. In honor of his deceased youngest daughter, Abet Naz adopts the woman as his foster daughter.
Thus begins Jarmil’s second life.
With her new name and fresh start at the border garrison, her life seems peaceful.
However, the emptiness of not knowing who she truly is leaves her feeling isolated at times.
“Please return my lost memories.”
Every day, she climbs the mountain path to place a stone on the tower at its peak and offers the same prayer.
As she offered her prayer, a distant, ashen gaze watched her for a long time.

On the day of the recruitment test to reinforce the border garrison, Baldars from across the Kamilak Empire gather at the Tapchallahn Plateau.
Among them is a Baldar with eyes like a snowy forest at dawn.
When Jarmil’s eyes meet his, a chill coils in her gut.
She is certain that she has met Batis before.
A powerful sense of déjà vu overwhelms her.
Were they lovers in the memories she lost?
“So you do remember me, Batis.”
“I’m sorry, but all I can tell you is this: Don’t cling to the memories that have vanished. But… if they ever come back, remember this one thing: I came here because I wanted you. You’ve done nothing wrong.”
Clinging to the hope of reclaiming her past, Jarmil quickly opens her heart to Batis. But when her memories finally return, she is horrified.
“Why did you save me, Batis… You should’ve just let me die… I don’t want to live anymore…”
Is it possible for us to start over?
Their relationship, carried over from the past, now stands at a crossroads.
Could the two of them leave the past behind and journey toward something beyond the night sky?
