Nabi, a cat beastman who does all sorts of menial jobs to pay for his sick younger sibling’s medicine, is constantly mistreated due to the superstition that “black cats bring bad luck.”

One day, he’s approached by a handsome man who makes a suspicious offer: become his laboratory assistant and personal servant.

After only a moment of hesitation, Nabi agrees to the man’s offer for the sake of saving his sibling, only to discover that the man is none other than Caelan, a wizard infamous for his scandalous rumors.

However, contrary to Nabi’s fear that the man might devour him, Caelan turns out to be unexpectedly gentle and kind.
