My Wicked Masquerader

Every year, on the birthday of Chairman Seo of Seomyeong Group, the family hunting event takes place. 

As Seol-ah, forced to become prey, wandered through the deep mountains, she encountered a man radiating a dangerous aura.  

“Are you alone?”  

The man was sitting lazily beside a hunted animal, smoking a cigarette. Eyes devoid of compassion or sympathy. His irises, a peculiar blend of black, gray, and blue, slowly scanned over Seol-ah. It was only then that she realized the hem of her pants was damp.  

“You’re quite a handful.”  

The man tied his T-shirt around Seol-ah’s waist, then suddenly slid his hands under her armpits and pulled her up.  

Without hesitation, he withdrew his hands afterward.  

At the sensation of that fleeting warmth leaving her, every cell in her body screamed out.  

Hold onto him.  

“Get a grip, little miss.”

A scent—deep, heavy, vaguely damp, yet strangely sweet.The smell that awakened memories of that day in the mountains.  

Seo Tae-shin. That was the man’s name.  

“Want one?”  

The man held out a cheap piece of candy as if bestowing great mercy.  

“I don’t like candy.”  

“Why not?”  

“Because I’m not a child.”  

At Seol-ah’s reply, Seo Tae-shin’s eyes curved into a smile. As if he might force her to open up at any moment, his thumb slowly traced the center of her lips.  

“Open up while I’m still being nice, sweetie.”  

The tip of his thumb, slipping between her lips, barely grazed her tongue.  

“Unless there’s something else you’d rather suck on.”

Male Protagonist: Seo Tae-shin – The first grandson of the chairman of Seomyeong Group. By nature, he feels no emotion toward others. One day, he discovers a woman desperately fleeing in his hunting grounds and takes her in. In his life, someone who arouses him this much… Right. There doesn’t seem to be anyone else.  

Female Protagonist: Yoon Seol-ah – The daughter of an employee at the Seomyeong Group estate. During the Seomyeong family’s annual hunting event, she becomes the prey and is pursued. There, she accidentally encounters Seo Tae-shin, who helps her survive, but she remains wary, unable to discern his intentions. A pitiful woman who, in trying to escape from jackals, falls into the grasp of a wolf.
