A man wakes up in a strange hotel. Room 712. He is killed repeatedly by a monster called a “creature,” and each time he comes back to life in Room 712, his memories are completely gone. One day, 712 encounters a middle-aged man in the hallway. They begin searching other rooms together, looking for a way to escape the hotel. While searching, 712 runs into a creature and faces death once again. He pleads for help from the middle-aged man, but the man only stands there, watching as 712 dies…

And then it happened.

“Ugh!”

A scream, the sound of something heavy slamming into something else, and a gust of wind rushed by. Something had happened to Room 304, the one who had just stood there watching 712 die. But 712 was so weak and exhausted that he couldn’t lift his head to see. All he could do was hang onto the bed frame with sheer will, desperate not to die. But even that wouldn’t last much longer. His strength was draining away.

“Hold on, just a little longer!”

A strange voice boomed through the room. Footsteps rushed toward him, and suddenly someone grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled. He felt a hot body—someone alive.

“Urgh… ah, it hurts!”

Something under the bed was now gripping both his ankles and yanking hard. The pain was unbearable. It felt like both ankles had shattered. When he glanced down, he saw they were twisted in unnatural directions.

“I know it hurts, but hang in there! You can survive if you hold on!”

The stranger’s voice demanded he endure the pain while offering hope. 712 bit his lip to stifle the screams and held on. The man was incredibly strong—just as strong as the creature—and slowly, the lower half of his body, which had been completely sucked under the bed, began to emerge.

—Grrhhh, grrrrghhhhhh!

The thing dragging him under let out an eerie, furious roar. The sound was so disturbing and loud that it rattled his eardrums and made his head ring. For a moment, 712 almost passed out.
