65 years ago, the Gate Era began.

With the emergence of Espers and Guides, individuals with extraordinary abilities, society rapidly transformed.

Amidst this chaotic shift, Siho, who lost his family and developed a severe hatred towards Espers, lives a difficult and broken life, both physically and mentally.

Then, one fateful day, Siho finds himself trapped inside a Gate at the crossroads of a choice.

His destiny takes an inevitable turn when he encounters Kang Jae-yoon, who entered the Gate seeking death.

“The true precursor to rampage is when the eyes turn red.”

“Like your eyes right now?”

At the moment of death, Siho, who awakens as a Guide, is violently assaulted by Jae-yoon, who has gone rampage.

In exchange for enduring this merciless beating, he is granted a new life.

Due to the law, Siho is forcibly bound as Jae-yoon’s Pair Guide, and soon, three of this other Espers approach him.

In a tangled web of relationships formed by choice or fate, the emotions of these five individuals become increasingly intertwined.

And as their fragile everyday lives begin to unravel, a new threat to humanity emerges– the Black Gate.
