When You Cry, It Turns Me On

It had been a long time since she last saw him, yet he remained unchanged.

Dressed in a black suit, his well-balanced physique, sculpted with firm muscles, exuded an undeniable presence in Soo-ah’s workspace.

His attitude and gestures were as arrogant as ever, but when the corners of his eyes lowered slightly, a refreshing smile spread across his entire face.

Unlike before, she felt somewhat pleased to see him again, but Soo-ah feigned indifference and spoke with deliberate aloofness.

“Have you been somewhere? I haven’t seen you around lately.”

“That’s right. It’s been a while. Did you miss me?”

Soo-ah ignored his question and turned her attention to her work.

“If you have something to say, say it. I need to finish this.”

“Your complexion looks much better. How’s your fever?”

“It’s gone now. Is that why you came?”

“Partly to check on you, and partly to give you something.”

Mun-hwon held out a small box.

    “What’s this?”

    “A gift.”

When Soo-ah only stared at it, Mun-hwon stood up and placed the small box directly in her hand.

Curious about its contents, she opened the box.

Inside, neatly arranged caramel squares spanned the colors of the rainbow, from red to purple.

    “They’re pretty.”

The words slipped out before she realized it, and feeling embarrassed, she quickly shut her mouth.

“I once knew someone who reminded me a lot of you. That person liked caramel. So yeah, just brought it for you.”

He took a red caramel from the box and unwrapped it.

“Whether you like it or not, eat it.”

Then, he forcibly brought it to Soo-ah’s lips. When she refused to open her mouth, he gently stroked her lower lip with his thumb. Soon after, his fingers slipped in, prying her lips apart before pushing the caramel inside.

Despite her resistance, the moment it touched her tongue, the caramel was undeniably sweet. The soft, sugary richness melted in her mouth, spreading a deep and buttery sweetness across her tongue.

    “You eat well.”

However, the satisfaction that flickered in Seo Mun-hwon’s eyes made her want to rebel.

“You said we’d do it once I recovered. Are you going to do it now?”

She deliberately adopted a businesslike tone, as if discussing work. She wanted to emphasize that such relations meant nothing to her.

But the truth was different. The first time had been overwhelming. The second time, just as ruinous. The lingering marks on her body refused to fade, and the sensations from their encounters remained seared into her memory. Just thinking about him made her heartbeat quicken.

Inevitably, a dull ache spread through the inside of her thighs, and a tightness gripped her chest.

She hated how her body reacted. She hated that she couldn’t stop thinking about him. She wanted to erase everything—wipe it all away as if it had never happened.

“Look at you, begging for it the moment you see me. Turns out, our Miss Moon Soo-ah is quite the insatiable woman.”

    “CEO Seo Mun-hwon.”

She raised her voice, but he only chuckled.

“They say a little intimacy builds affection. While I was gone, did you touch yourself thinking about me?”

“Think whatever you want. I only brought it up because I want it over with as soon as possible—I don’t want to think about it anymore.”

“I don’t take orders well. And if you’re already eager, then it’s no fun for me. Let’s wait until I’m in the mood.”

He picked up another caramel, unwrapped it, and slowly placed it in his mouth. His red lips parted slightly, revealing the way his deep crimson tongue wrapped around the candy.

It was sensual. A languid depravity settled in the curve of his lips, staining them with an obscene allure.

“This tastes amazing. Oh, and I have some good news.”

He savored the caramel with the same sinful indulgence as when he released himself onto her body. Then, he continued.

“Chairman Min is returning to Korea soon. You should know that.”

A heavy weight dropped into her stomach, like a stone plunging into the pit of her chest.

    “When?”

Her expression stiffened, and her voice trembled.

“As early as three or four days, no later than a week.”

The plans she had been making to escape while Min Ihan was gone were crumbling before her eyes.

Her facial muscles refused to move. Her lips felt sealed shut.

“I suppose you’ll be happy, now that you won’t have to see me anymore?”

Seo Mun-hwon’s taunting words grated on her nerves.

If she wanted to escape from him, what could she do? Was there really no way out?  Grasping at straws, she asked him,

“Sir, would you do anything for money?”

“If the amount is large enough, anything. Money is the most important thing in my life.”

Soo-ah clung to his words with hope.

If I give him more money than that man, wouldn’t there be a chance?

“I have a question for you.”

    “I’ll answer anything.”

“If I give you more money than Min Ihan, will you let me go?”

Seo Mun-hwon looked down at Soo-ah without a word. As the suffocating silence stretched on, he gazed at her with an unreadable expression before letting out a light chuckle.

    “That would be difficult.”

“Why? You said money is the most important thing.”

    Her urgency quickened her speech.

    “Because it’s impossible.”

With his hand in his pocket, he looked at Soo-ah as if he pitied her.

“Mr. Min Ihan has an enormous amount of money, while Miss Moon Soo-ah has nothing. He is a long-standing VIP client who has invested a huge sum in the company, whereas Miss Moon… well, you know that better than anyone, so I’ll skip the explanation.”

She tried to hide it, but disappointment and humiliation were evident on her face.

When she glared at him resentfully with her lips pressed tight, Mun-hwon smirked in amusement, the corner of his mouth curving gently.

    “But there is one way.”

    “A way? What is it?”

Clinging to a sliver of hope, she asked, only for him to give her an absurd answer.

“If I were an easy man. If Miss Moon Soo-ah were to fall for me, then who knows?”

“Why would I ever? That will never happen.”

Soo-ah flared up, clenching her fists.

“That’s why it’s impossible. You loving me, and me setting you free—both.”

Her anger surged at how he toyed with her, but despair quickly followed. Nothing he said was wrong. It was all true. Soo-ah had nothing. No money, no power—nothing.

Even so, she did not want to see Min Ihan again.

He had said he would return for her once his financial troubles were resolved. He didn’t just mean keeping her locked up. It would be hell. At the bleak thought, tears welled up in Soo-ah’s eyes.

If only Seo Mun-hwon weren’t here.

    I could be free.

If only you hadn’t trapped me here, I could have escaped.

“You, who only care about money, wouldn’t understand. You have no idea how miserable you’re making me.”

She resented him. She pushed against his chest in blame, but the man, solid as a rock, didn’t budge in the slightest. Only her cheeks were wet with tears.

“Do you have any idea how terrible it is to be forced to spend the rest of your life with a man you don’t love?”

Normally, he would have shot back with a retort, but for some reason, Seo Mun-hwon remained silent. He simply looked at her, saying nothing.

    “Of course, you wouldn’t. It’s something you’ll never experience…”

Suddenly, his hand cupped her cheek, and as he moved closer, he tilted his head.

    “What are you—”

Before she could finish, her lips parted in shock as his tongue slipped between them.

    “Mmph… Se—”

She tried to call his name and push him away, but their tongues tangled, making it impossible. The salty taste of her tears spread through her mouth as the kiss deepened. His tongue, which had been brushing against her gums, reached up to her palate.

Their saliva mixed, and his invading tongue stole her breath.

    “Ha… Haah…”

Gasping for air, she tried to push against his chest, but he remained unmoving. A large hand wrapped around her neck, and her lower body was pulled over his thigh. As he rubbed himself against the space between her legs, she could feel his thick manhood pressing against her.

She didn’t want to feel anything from the man who had driven her life into despair. Soo-ah struggled with all her might to escape his embrace. Surprisingly, Seo Mun-hwon let her go without resistance.

    “You said later—”

“I said I’d do it when I felt like it, not later.”

“Seo Mun-hwon. Don’t toy with me.”

Mun-hwon wiped the remaining tears from her face with his thumb and smiled kindly.

“Then who told you to cry?”

“What does that have to do with anything?”

“When you cry, it turns me on.”

    “Then I won’t cry.”

Soo-ah bit her lower lip, trying to hold back her tears.

“I will never cry in front of you again. You’re a disgusting man, so I won’t shed tears in front of you.”

“You’ve been cursing at me a lot today.”

His fingers, which had been cradling her cheek, trailed down her neck, over her shoulder, and stopped at her wrist.
