TDIDTRA Chapter 9
by biniChapter 9. A Fierce and Intense Gaze
Girion sat in the conference room, resting his chin on his hand.
What was the bruise on Bonida’s arm? Did someone touch her? Or was she careless and accidentally got injured by mistake? There were many things he wanted to ask at that moment. However, he barely gathered his patience and kept his mouth shut. He didn’t want to stress her even more, who was already struggling
He casually checked his wristwatch and realized it was time for her to be washing up. He was about to leave after passing some time, but frowned as he saw a group of knights rush inside. Anyway, there was nowhere quiet to rest. Tsk.
The knights who spotted Girion all greeted him respectfully. He also accepted their greetings with a composed manner. The relationship between Girion and the knights was not a cold master-servant one. He had never liked people awkwardly bowing to him, so he had always kept things relaxed. Of course, when it came to maintaining discipline, he treated them more harshly than anyone else.
The knights who gathered around Girion chatted excitedly. It seemed their training had been lackluster today, as they were full of energy. Without realizing that Girion was already thinking about how to deal with them tomorrow, one of them, in a cheerful mood, chatted.
“I finally got her permission. I should start paying attention to my underwear.”
“Underwear is secondary, but find the hole.”
“The hole?”
“That’s the most common mistake men make when they first sleep with women because they don’t know what to do. The location of a woman’s hole slightly differs.”
“No way, why would I not be able to find it.”
“I’m not confident about that.”
Girion would have frowned at this conversation if it were normal, but for some reason it was different today. There’s no way he’s afraid he won’t even find the place to insert it on the first night. What kind of idiot would make a mistake like that? It was when he was chuckling, feeling somewhat disgusted.
“Isn’t this your first time?”
The conversation continued. The guy who had brought it up first got angry and shouted.
“First time, my foot. Tell the guys more experienced than me to come out and show themselves.”
What kind of experience is there to brag about? There’s nothing to show off. While Girion muttered to himself indifferently, the conversation continued endlessly. He distanced him from their conversation for a moment and fell into thought. He had no experience with women.
It was partly because of his personality of not getting close to any woman, and he had never met a woman who could satisfy him.
Sometimes, crazy women would pester others to find out the destination of Girion’s business trip. Before entering his lodging, the knights had spoken with displeasure.
‘There’s probably a strange woman in the room.’
When Girion entered the room, gritting his teeth, a woman was boldly stripping off her clothes. He was so angry and repulsive that he opened the door wide and called the knights. When two or three knights entered, he immediately gave an order.
‘Get that dirty thing out of here.’
They were surprised by the sight of the naked woman, but the Knights of Tefort were different. They felt insulted when their lord was treated carelessly by women. The woman was dragged out screaming at the knights’ merciless hands.
After several such incidents, rumors began to spread. If you dared to talk to Girion, you would not only be ruined, but you would disappear from this world.
Of course, the businesses that took Girion’s trust lightly and revealed important trip destinations to their daughters were swiftly cut off. In any business, mutual agreements are the most important, and there was no need to do business with people who broke promises. As a result, the pressure from women has at least decreased.
Girion, the most eligible bachelor in the Kingdom of Esperanza, was a sacred figure that no one could approach recklessly. So why did he behave without hesitation around Bonida? Was it because of that contract he had written, listing all the tasks for the next three years? Not at all. The moment he saw the beautiful Bonida, he was intrigued and felt a curiosity spark.
The person he wanted to have by his side appeared right before him, and perhaps that’s why he felt more desire. If he hadn’t seen that bruise, Girion would have embraced that woman tonight.
Herba, the aide, entered the conference room and immediately found Girion, approaching him. Girion gave him a few instructions.
“Choose three knights to escort Bonida when she goes home tomorrow. And tell the head maid Milan to arrange for Camille, who has become Bonida’s personal maid, to accompany her.”
“The knight is a reasonable measure for the safety of Miss Bonida, but a maid? I believe Miss Bonida’s exclusive maid came with her.”
“I know. But something is strangely bothering me.”
Girion’s low voice reached only Herba. They were busy talking among themselves. In the midst of the chaos, Perz entered the conference room. He also noticed Girion and approached him.
“Your Highness, were you here?”
“What was it like seeing Miss Bonida up close?”
Perz, who had seen Bonida in front of the Margarita boutique five months ago, acted strangely. He was the second-ranking member of the Tefort Knights, doing the work of a mansion gatekeeper.
When Bonida’s carriage arrived, he was the one who searched inside her carriage himself. He knew from his sense that he wasn’t simply looking to see if something dangerous was loaded onto the carriage. So Girion asked tentatively.
“Nothing much.”
Contrary to his words, a faint change occurred on Perz’s hard face. It was a very subtle reaction, but Girion caught it quickly. He was a man who was as cold as ice and cut off and on like a knife. Girion was as surprised as his own behavior that he showed interest in a woman.
“But I think Lady Bonida’s maid needs to be re-educated on manners. It was unpleasant to see her acting like that.”
“What are you talking about?”
The hierarchy of the knight order had a clear boundary, as distinct as the sky and the earth. No one dared to cross or break that line. It was a place where rules were as sharp as swords. For someone like Perz, this situation was incomprehensible. Of course, Girion, who was listening, was equally baffled.
“I saw her roughly pulling Lady Bonida’s arm down and muttering angrily, ‘Your makeup is coming off.’ It was not the kind of behavior a maid should show towards her master.”
“Her arm? Damn it, her arm was bruised.”
“…..”
It wasn’t a wound from the maid’s grab. It was clearly an injury from blocking something that had been struck with full force. And Bonida was overly submissive. There was definitely something. Girion wanted to grab the maid and break her arm right away, but he thought rationally.
