TAF Ch 13
by mimiYeonwoo, having taken the heat cycle suppressant beforehand, inwardly flinched and averted his gaze.
“I don’t want to go to work. I want to put it in and go back to sleep.”
Chahyun murmured, his large hand firmly gripping Yeonwoo’s buttocks. Yeonwoo snapped at him.
“Get off me.”
“Let me do it and sleep today.”
“No. I don’t feel well.”
“Why? You let me do it as a reward sometimes.”
For some inexplicable reason, Chahyun enjoyed cuddling and sleeping with Yeonwoo after having sex. Yeonwoo had reluctantly allowed it whenever he was exhausted and fell asleep, but now Chahyun pestered him for it every chance he got.
“Go away.”
This time, Yeonwoo pushed Chahyun hard.
“Ugh, you’re playing with me.”
“Stop acting like a child and get up. You’ll be late for work.”
“…….”
Getting out of bed, Yeonwoo ended up saying the words Chahyun hated the most.
“You’re being childish.”
The playful expression on Chahyun’s face immediately hardened. Others said he was scary when he had a stern expression or got angry, but to Yeonwoo, he just looked like he was sulking.
And instead of appeasing him, Yeonwoo sat down on the edge of the bed. As he tried to remove the heat pack from his ankle, Chahyun got up and did it for him.
“I told you not to say that.”
“Then act like an adult.”
“What do you mean this isn’t adult-like? What kind of adult sticks their dick in someone’s ass and sleeps?”
“Not today. My ankle hurts.”
“Fuck, what does that have to do with anything?”
“I told you to stop talking like a child.”
Hearing the words he disliked again, Chahyun finally shut his mouth and clenched his teeth. Yeonwoo could see his jaw muscles bulging.
Now that the heat pack was removed, Chahyun slammed the door shut and stormed out of the bedroom by himself.
“What’s his problem?”
Yeonwoo muttered nonchalantly.
However, a few seconds later, the door opened again. Yeonwoo, who was checking his phone, looked up.
“Hong Yeonwoo.”
“What.”
“Are you going to eat now?”
“Yeah.”
“I’ll carry you.”
“I can walk by myself.”
“That’ll strain your ankle.”
Chahyun scooped Yeonwoo up and slung him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. He strode into the kitchen and carefully placed him on a dining chair.
“I have to get around by myself when you’re not here anyway.”
“That’s true. Hmm. Should I get someone to take care of you for a few days?”
“I told you it doesn’t hurt that much anymore. I got medicine too…”
Despite Yeonwoo’s words, Chahyun prepared breakfast for him. He filled a bowl with rice and warmed up side dishes and soup from the refrigerator.
While the soup was heating up, Chahyun brought a new heat pack, approached Yeonwoo, and knelt down.
“I’ll change it to a new one.”
The warm pack touched his ankle.
“Tell me if it hurts.”
Yeonwoo nodded.
“You need to get better soon.”
Chahyun murmured worriedly, bending down to kiss Yeonwoo’s ankle.
Watching him, a pang of pain shot through Yeonwoo’s chest.
Baek Chahyun and Hong Yeonwoo were now the same, yet different.
This used to be our daily life. It was so peaceful and loving.
Baek Chahyun, you ruined everything.
Biting his lower lip, Yeonwoo reached out and messed up Chahyun’s neatly slicked-back hair.
“Hey, why are you doing this? I styled my hair.”
Chahyun frowned as his bangs fell forward due to Yeonwoo’s touch.
He always styled his hair with pomade when going out. Ever since Yeonwoo told him in college that he looked cute with his bangs down, he had stuck to that style.
“Now I have to do it again because of you.”
“…Because you’re cute.”
Yes. Even at this moment, Chahyun, who always wanted to appear manly to him, was cute. The more he acted this way, the deeper Yeonwoo’s resentment grew.
“That’s annoying.”
“Chahyun, I want to go to a cafe.”
Yeonwoo changed the subject, pulling his foot away from Chahyun’s hand.
“Next time.”
“When is that?”
“When your ankle is healed.”
“…….”
“And your heat is coming soon anyway. Let’s think about it after it’s over.”
That meant he was confined to the house until then. As expected, Chahyun didn’t seem to have any intention of letting him go outside.
“Aren’t you preparing for the wedding?”
At the mention of the wedding, Chahyun’s expression turned unpleasant again. His lips twitched faintly, as if in displeasure.
“It’s next year, right?”
“…….”
“I’m curious. Tell me.”
“I’ve left everything to the wedding planners, so there’s nothing for me to prepare. It’s not happening right away.”
Chahyun finally answered reluctantly, worn down by Yeonwoo’s calm persistence.
“I see….”
So you’re really going through with this marriage. Then, we really can’t be together anymore.
Yeonwoo thought.
It was frustrating that he couldn’t change Chahyun’s mind, but it wasn’t a bad outcome. He now knew that Chahyun still had no intention of canceling the wedding and wouldn’t easily agree to break up with him.
As expected, coaxing him seemed more effective than fighting him fiercely.
“Take your medicine.”
“Okay.”
After breakfast, Chahyun brought out the medicine prescribed at the emergency room. Yeonwoo obediently replied, glancing at the sleeping pills prescribed only for nighttime.
He had received a week’s worth of medication, so there were a total of seven sleeping pills.
“Have a good day at work.”
Yeonwoo said, still sitting at the dining table. Chahyun, who had restyled his hair with pomade, nodded. He lightly kissed Yeonwoo on the lips and left for work.

As Chahyun had said, someone came to the house in the afternoon to take Yeonwoo to the hospital. It was Chahyun’s driver, whom he had seen several times before.
He had hoped that going out for physical therapy might create an opportunity to escape, but it was a futile hope. There were a total of three people watching him.
The words “this crazy bastard” came out automatically. To think he had three people watching just him.
With two burly men standing guard at the door when Chahyun was away, and the driver added to the mix, he couldn’t bring himself to attempt an escape.
Even if the ankle pain was faked, sprinting would strain it. He would likely be caught quickly, and if that happened, Chahyun would act even crazier than he already was.
So, if he were to leave the house, he had to succeed without fail.
Yeonwoo firmly decided to aim for the times when he was with Chahyun. The guards seemed to leave when Chahyun was home, so that seemed like the easiest time to slip away.
To do that, he had to drug Chahyun with the sleeping pills. That was why he had gotten them prescribed in the first place.
He felt uneasy about planning to drug his lover and escape, but there was no other way. Besides, it was Chahyun who had acted crazy first.
He decided it was best to act quickly. He felt a sense of urgency, as he had to escape before Chahyun’s rut cycle began.
“You’re early?”
Hearing the front door open, Yeonwoo went to greet him.
“Why did you come out? You should be sitting down.”
Chahyun said disapprovingly, looking at Yeonwoo’s limping foot.
“I have to greet the breadwinner when he comes home from work. Give me your bag.”
Yeonwoo held out his hand to Chahyun. Chahyun, who had made a displeased face at the playful words, chuckled and took his hand.
“I meant I’d hold your bag for you.”
“I wish Hong Yeonwoo would stay home all the time.”
Chahyun kept chuckling as he entered the bedroom. He still hadn’t let go of Yeonwoo’s hand.
Yeonwoo watched Chahyun change his clothes, silently contemplating how to administer the sleeping pills.
He doubted the sleeping pills alone would be enough to knock Chahyun out. But he couldn’t just dump all the prescribed pills into a drink. It would be dangerous, and the taste would be noticeable.
It would probably be best to mix them with alcohol.
“What did you do at home?”
“Just lay down, except when I went to the hospital.”
“Anything you need?”
“I’m bored being at home all day.”
“Just bear with it for a few more days.”
Chahyun replied casually, loosening his tie and taking off his jacket. Yeonwoo sat on the bed, looked up at him, and asked,
“Are you going to shower?”
“Yeah.”
“Want to shower together? It’s been a while.”
Chahyun’s hand, which had been unbuttoning his shirt, stopped.
“Why are you being so nice today?”
“I want to shower too.”
After a moment of seeming contemplation, he shook his head.
“It’s dangerous to shower together with your ankle. I’ll wash you if it’s uncomfortable.”
He thought Chahyun would readily agree, but it seemed his ankle was a concern. Yeonwoo reluctantly nodded.
One corner of Chahyun’s lips twitched faintly upwards, as if he was in a good mood.
As soon as he finished changing, he took Yeonwoo to the bathroom and meticulously washed him. He seemed quite shaken by Yeonwoo complaining about his ankle pain in the early morning, as he treated him as if he were made of glass.
After sending Yeonwoo out of the bathroom first, Chahyun started his shower.
Watching for the right moment, Yeonwoo took out two sleeping pills.
