A truly amazing new employee joined the team next to ours…. I’m being careful about details because it might reveal who it is, but it’s such a good story that I have to share it.

He asked someone who called the wrong number, “Excuse me, but where did you intend to call?” Later he said he wanted to ask, “Excuse me, where are you trying to reach?”

He got picked up by a cult during lunch break and was participating in a shamanistic ritual until his team leader found and brought him back. I feel bad for that team leader.

He bought overpriced MLM products and shared them with everyone at work. It’s not really a fault, but it was so obviously MLM, but he was just clueless and cheerful….

A coworker asked him to buy some fever reducer during his lunch break, but he came back with hair gel. Honestly, I found that pretty funny.

Later, I found out he’s the CEO’s son. I wonder if he’s so clueless because he’s a nepo hire…. But my friend who’s on his team says he’s a nice and hard-working kid, just a little unusual. Are those things just “unusual” though…?

Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing what he does next after the weekend. Honestly, it’s pretty entertaining just listening to the stories. Though I think his team leader is having a hard time….
