SB Prologue
by toujoursMutual Ownership Contract
In establishing this ownership, ‘Seo Haeyoon’ is referred to as ‘Party A’ and ‘Chae Beomjoon’ as ‘Party B’, and the contract is concluded as follows.
Article 1: Obligations of the Contracting Parties
Party A (Seo Haeyoon) promises to love Party B (Chae Beomjoon) for life, even if Party B becomes sexually disabled.
Party A is responsible for the rest of Party B’s life, who has given up reproductive rights at Party A’s request.
If Party B refuses to comply with Article 1, Clause 1, and Clause 2, Party B will return the property listed in the annex to society and join a Buddhist temple. The temple for conversion is Haeinsa (122 Haeinsa-gil, Gaya-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do).
If Party A fails to properly fulfill Clauses 1 and 2, Party A also fully agrees to give up reproductive rights, just like Party B.
Article 3: Contract Period
This contract remains in effect from the moment Party B’s reproductive organs are removed until the end of both Party A and Party B’s lives, with each party holding a signed copy of the contract.
“…What is this?”
Seo Haeyoon asked with a bewildered face after skimming through the contract.
“What do you mean? It’s a contract.”
Chae Beomjoon replied with a proud smile. He had stayed up all night drafting the clauses and had them revised with legal advice. There couldn’t be a more perfect contract in the world.
“No…”
Seo Haeyoon lowered his eyes, as if asking if he couldn’t understand even after seeing it. That’s not what he meant. This person was really out of his mind.
‘How much do you like me? How much can you give upfor me? Can you even cut that off?’
It was a question thrown out in disbelief at the confession of a man who seemed like a sex machine. Seo Haeyoon wanted to have sex with Chae Beomjoon, who had hundreds of night partners, but didn’t want to date him. It was just a roundabout way of saying there would never be a relationship with him. He was sure Chae Beomjoon would never choose to become impotent.
But to think he would come out like this… While feeling strangely good, Seo Haeyoon also thought he shouldn’t be swayed by a mere piece of paper. He roughly flipped through the shocking contract and looked up. When he tried to talk while making eye contact with the man looking down at him, the pitch-black pupils seemed strange. They looked unfocused and definitely not the eyes of a normal person. Had he even slept?
“How long did it take you to write this?”
“About 12 hours. Does that even matter?”
“So you’re saying you didn’t sleep?”
“This isn’t some small-town corner store contract. I couldn’t just bring it over without a lawyer reviewing it. Oh, and just to be clear, I’m not referring to your ‘place.’ Obviously.”
Haeyoon frowned deeply. He stared at Chae Beomjoon like he was looking at someone utterly unhinged, flipping through the contract for a while before letting out a derisive laugh and speaking.
“Mister, you’ve seriously gone crazy for me, haven’t you?”
Chae Beomjoon couldn’t help but nod. It was an absurd question. A man shoving a contract riddled with obstinacy and irrationality in his face—how could that person possibly be sane?
But whether someone was crazy or not wasn’t the issue here. The priority was to complete all the procedures before Seo Haeyoon headed to work. Checking his wristwatch, Chae Beomjoon lightly brushed the tip of Seo Haeyoon’s chin, urging him.
“Just realizing that now? I’ve been crazy for you for ages. If you get it, stand up. Let’s go.”
“Go where?”
“Where else? To the hospital.”
If not for this lump of flesh tarnishing his reputation as a deranged lunatic, Chae Beomjoon could’ve overcome the 16-year age gap separating him from Seo Haeyoon’s ideal type and become the reserved gentleman of his dreams.
So, for the sake of his hard-won first love, giving up this clump of cells was… a small price to pay.
“I even made an appointment, so we need to hurry. To get it cut.”
With a faint smile, he raised his hand and mimed scissors near the front of his pants. His eyes gleamed with madness as he casually implied the removal of his reproductive organ.
It hadn’t always been like this. Chae Beomjoon didn’t originally believe in love. He not only dismissed it but also regarded those who shackled themselves with love as masochists with a fetish for misery.
So why had he come to engage in such extreme unrequited love? To explain that, we need to go back several months.
