After some thought, she slowly reached out her hand.

    “…Anima, Nympha.”

As her hand barely reached out, she felt the breeze and moisture and tiny spirits appeared.

    “!”

She did it! This was the first spirit she had called since she was possessed. She had doubted it, but they had actually responded.

It seemed that the spirits truly formed contracts with the soul, not the body. Tenesia faintly pulled the corners of her lips into a smile.

    “…It’s been a while.”

The little light danced around Tenesia’s forehead, as if responding to her smile. Occasionally, the light would settle down and warmly surround her.

“Can you help me? I just need to make sure no one thinks there’s anything wrong with me.”

The light flickered, moving up and down. She assumed that meant permission.

“…Thank you. It’s a short life, but I’ll be in your debt once again.”

She could summon spirits. Now, the only thing left was to deceive Dietrich completely.

    How long had she rested?

She heard a knock on the door, followed by Helle carefully peeking her face inside.

“Madam, I’ve come to fit your clothes at the tailor. If you’re not feeling well…”

    “No, I’ll be there soon.”

    “Are you sure you’re alright?”

“Yeah. The fever went down after taking the medicine.”

There were a few more concerned words, but thanks to her firm reply, they soon stopped.

After Helle left to prepare for the guest’s arrival, Tenesia took a deep breath.

    “Anima, Nympha. Now.”

A soft breeze swirled and enveloped Tenesia’s body. The energy that clung to her skin, as though forming a thin barrier, lifted her limp arm.

Nympha approached Tenesia’s face. As Nympha kissed her, a cool energy spread from her face outward.

“Ah, now I can move around.”

If she couldn’t lower the fever, she would just pretend it wasn’t there. Tenesia wore a confident expression.

After all, very few people could see spirits, so there was no risk of being caught. Tenesia straightened her slightly disheveled clothing before leaving the room.

The madam from the tailor’s shop greeted her with a friendly smile and gave her lenghty greeting.

“The advance payment has already been made by Margrave, so you can choose what you like.”

Thankfully, Dietrich didn’t seem to have told anything about saving money for the fake wife. The eyes of the madam from the tailor’s shop gleamed as if she was eyeing gold as she scanned Tenesia.

“How about this one? It’s the latest fashion.”

“This red color would suit your eyes, my lady…”

“Or perhaps use the symbol color of Haberfeld…”

The madam presented a variety of outfits. At her gestures, the assistants moved about efficiently.

“Then I’ll come back with the finished outfit.”

Helle escorted the madam out, and as the room’s population density lowered, Tenesia allowed her stiff posture to relax.

    “Phew.”

With only Emily watching her, she needed to conserve her energy. If she didn’t rest now, it was obvious she wouldn’t be able to complete the evening’s schedule.

    “My lady, are you tired?”

    “No, I’m fine.”

    Tenesia waved her hand dismissively.

“I think I was just a bit tense because there are so many things to worry about.”

“Would you like some tea, then?”

    “Sure.”

Tea wasn’t a bad way to relax her body. At Tenesia’s approval, Emily removed the cloth covering the teapot.

    “Madam!”

At that moment, a sharp scream echoed down the hallway, and Helle, returning after escorting the madam and assistants, gripped the drawing room door with a pale face.

    “What’s wrong?”

    “The Baroness Blanchette… she’s here…!”

Baroness Blanchette. A name that shouldn’t be heard here made Tenesia’s breath catch.
