The faint sound of light footsteps behind me confirmed he was still following. It felt like thorns were pricking my back.

I quickened my pace, and just as I crossed the threshold of the main hall, a sneering voice greeted me.

“Demon Lord, why have you kept me waiting for so long?!”

The Domain Lord of the Lost Strategies Domain was simply known as the Domain Lord. Few knew his real name was Wang Duoju. Born into a commoner family within the demonic realm, he lacked pure bloodline, but he was ruthlessly dedicated to cultivation. He was even willing to commit heinous acts of murder to gain power, stopping at nothing to achieve his goals.

He was a late bloomer who seized an opportunity to eliminate the previous Domain Lord of the Lost Strategies Domain and usurp his position. After that, no one dared to mock his name again, addressing him respectfully as Domain Lord Wang.

He was Yu Ke’s most reliable accomplice in acts of murder and arson.

Wang Duoju was fair-skinned and handsome, always sporting a mustache with the ends elaborately curled upwards, creating a rather comical effect.

When I first wrote this, the inspiration struck me as brilliant, but seeing it now, why did it seem so ridiculous?

What would a delicate-featured man with such a mustache look like in the modern world?

He was completely unconcerned with his appearance, his clothes haphazardly thrown on. The loose robe hanging sloppily off his body was unflattering, to say the least, making him look more like a roadside shaman than a figure of authority.

Wang Duoju approached, stroking his mustache, his eyes raking over me from head to toe, lingering pointedly on my lower body before he let out a vulgar laugh.

“Did you just crawl out of that good-for-nothing Young Master’s bed? Feeling refreshed? I met him personally; he’s clearly inexperienced. Taking it from behind must be quite the exotic treat, isn’t it?”

    “…..”

I didn’t deign to respond, maintaining a neutral expression as I walked past him and took my seat.

    “Get to the point.”

The best way to deal with someone like him was to feign composure and aloofness. Engaging with his line of thinking would only be detrimental.

Ha, Demon Lord, why so cold? Discussing bedroom matters with me won’t diminish your pleasure, will it? Besides, I had my eye on that Young Master first, but I yielded him to you.”

“Remove your hand from your mustache and speak properly.”

His constant fiddling with his mustache was truly an eyesore!

Wang Duoju waved his hand dismissively.

    “Alright, alright, I understand.”

He paused for a moment, then said with a serious expression,

“The cultivation sects have been crossing the line lately. Anyone with decent skills keeps trying to cross the Heavenly River into the Demonic Realm at every opportunity. They seem to be spreading rumors that you annihilated the Song Clan without reason and are demanding the return of that young brat from the Song family.”

The mention of Song Qiyuan made my head throb. But his words reminded me of what had happened.

Yu Ke’s carelessness had led to Song Qiyuan’s rescue by his enigmatic master after his supposed death. Yu Ke hadn’t believed Song Qiyuan could have survived.

His method of killing was brutal and merciless, a bloody spectacle. To intimidate the cultivation sects, he specifically killed Song Qiyuan in front of those who had crossed the Heavenly River and threw his body into the river.

However, the protagonist’s halo was strong; Song Qiyuan survived and was rescued. That was the catalyst for the main storyline, igniting the protagonist’s quest for revenge. Now that I am Yu Ke, should I follow the original plot? What would happen if I deviated?

“Demon Lord, do they think the Demonic Realm is devoid of capable individuals to dare provoke us so openly?”

Wang Duoju, standing below the dais, his eyes gleaming with killing intent. He licked his lips as if his mouth had gone dry, then smiled.

“I’ll go and kill every single one of them.”

His cold and frivolous gaze met mine, as if he could see through my thoughts.

“This is our shared hobby, isn’t it, Demon Lord?”

Wang Duoju’s gaze was sharp, his narrow eyes glinting with excitement. It seemed that killing was a form of entertainment for him. He had committed countless murders and acts of arson alongside Yu Ke for so long that he understood Yu Ke’s innate bloodlust. They were two peas in a pod, and if I, now inhabiting Yu Ke’s body, didn’t act accordingly, he would surely notice.

The suspicious glint in Gu Jincheng’s eyes from last night hadn’t left my mind.

“Demon Lord, it’s been three months since you started playing with that brat. Aren’t you tired of him yet?”

When I remained silent, Wang Duoju shrugged.

“It seems it would be best to kill him in front of all those cultivators. It would infuriate those arrogant bastards and instill fear in them. Two birds with one stone.”

So, you were the one fueling Yu Ke’s sadistic tendencies.

I swear, I definitely didn’t write this part of the story. It felt like this world had filled in the gaps itself. The world subtly revolved around the protagonist, solidifying the trials and tribulations Song Qiyuan would face.

I had a hunch that the real Yu Ke’s soul had already vanished from this body. Since this world needed its indispensable villain, I was chosen to transmigrate and fulfill that role.

Damn, what an incredible imagination! As a writer, my mind was blown.

Wang Duoju’s words, no matter how they were phrased, were pushing me to kill Song Qiyuan. Moreover, he was certain I would revel in it. Because I was Yu Ke, someone who regarded human life as mere weeds on the roadside.

“Alright. This Lord will consider it.”

“That’s the best course of action. As the Demon Lord, you must know. All the Domains of the Demonic Realm desire a cold-blooded and ruthless ruler, not a soft and indecisive child.”

    “Silence!”

Wang Duoju’s words became increasingly grating. It was as if he knew the weakness hidden deep within my heart. My outburst was merely an attempt to conceal my own inadequacy.

“Why so angry? It was a joke. A joke~.”

The man’s tone lightened slightly. He waved his hand dismissively and forced a smile, but his eyes remained cold.

“I spoke on behalf of the Lost Strategies Domain. You know my loyalty to you, Demon Lord. However, the remaining eight Domains are not under my jurisdiction.

One last thing, Demon Lord, a personal word. To clarify, this is just Wang Duoju’s opinion. Simply listen and decide for yourself.”

Wang Duoju hesitated briefly, then spoke again with a serious expression.

“In my opinion, there’s already unrest within the Demonic Realm.

Though I don’t know the cause, unstable elements have persisted. The scrawny one from the Bone Domain, what has he been scheming lately? The malevolent energy above the Main City is so intense that even I feel a chill when passing through. I tried to investigate the situation there, but that scrawny fellow has locked the city gates for over a month, refusing to see anyone.

Truthfully, I have a rather ominous feeling about this.”

As he spoke, Wang Duoju looked directly into my eyes again, a cryptic smile playing on his lips.

“This time, seeing you here, Demon Lord, you seem quite different from before. Your aura has weakened considerably. Surely you haven’t been dallying with that man so much that your body can’t handle it?”

He meant it as a joke, but I was drenched in cold sweat. He saw through me.

Wang Duoju was incredibly perceptive! I glanced at Gu Jincheng, standing silently like a shadow behind me. He seemed to convey a slight agreement in his eyes, but remained silent.

    Could he have already known?

I frantically tried to recall how Yu Ke would react in this situation.

I must act! Act! Act! God, please grant me exceptional acting skills!

In the blink of an eye, as if possessed by the God of Acting, I naturally rested my chin on my hand and lifted the corners of my mouth about 30 degrees. With a sneer in my eyes, I adopted a cold and alluring tone.

“Feigning civility is truly tedious. Has everyone noticed? I’ve heard your words, Wang Duoju. I’ve already grown tired of that Song brat and have been contemplating how to kill him. Using this opportunity to eliminate him seems quite useful.”

After a moment’s thought, I looked at Gu Jincheng and continued.

“Jincheng, inform everyone in the Demonic Realm to gather at the Heavenly River boundary in ten days.”

Mustering all my courage and bravado, I leaned back. Turning the jade ring on my left thumb, I spoke coldly.

“If anyone fails to appear that day… they will not be forgiven.”

Looking at Wang Duoju, I changed my expression again, my eyes filled with the suggestive gaze of someone watching an adult film as I scanned him from head to toe.

“Wang Duoju, you asked if my body couldn’t handle it? Wouldn’t you know if you came to my bedchamber tonight and find out yourself?”

I had anticipated Wang Duoju’s provocation and was prepared with a quick retort. However, he simply stared at me with a bewildered expression, his fair face, including his mustache, flushing crimson all the way down to his neck.

I had a slightly ominous feeling.

He fiddled with his clothes for a long while, and just when I was about to be disgusted by the sight, he slowly opened his mouth.

“If it pleases the Demon Lord, I would be delighted.”

    Crazy!!!

Wang Duoju’s shamelessness exceeded my wildest imagination. I knew he was a pervert who enjoyed being on the receiving end, but I never imagined he would proposition Yu Ke so directly.

Watching his embarrassing demeanor made me nauseous. I regretted making this character a pervert to tease my friend in the first place.

    I was truly careless.

I hastily dismissed him, ordering Gu Jincheng to see him out. Then, I sat down on the soft bed I had recently placed beside the jade bed and pondered Wang Duoju’s words.
