A second adoption promotion post for the kittens from Shindo has popped up on CatsHeaven Instagram. They’ve said it’s okay to share without permission, so spread the word far and wide.

Our beloved priest from Shindo Catholic Church, who blessed our eyes with his presence in the first promotional video, along with Angela, are starring again ^___^

But… since the first post went viral, the number of clueless jerks coming to Shindo to abandon their pets has increased ㅡㅡ Seems like it’s really pissed off the priest lol…

[LOL he was really mad! But maybe because he’s a priest, he scolded with a smile ^^]

└ “Abandoning life recklessly angers the Lord too ^^ Immediate reporting without leniency ^^” The priest biting his words with a smile is just too precious…

└└ He’s nicely warning them, but basically it’s a threat that if you don’t want to go to hell, stop that crap LOL LOL

    [Found my husband]

    └ Get real, priests can’t marry 🙁

└└ Actually, earlier this year, the ‘Vatican’ suggested considering allowing Catholic priests to marry. Dreams do come true!

    └└└ Not buying it

└└└└ Here’s proof (Link: Bishop at the Vatican “Catholic Priests Should Be Allowed to Marry”)

    └└└└└ Why though?

[I went to Mass at Shindo Cathedral last weekend LOL, ran out as soon as it ended like it was a concert, he even blessed everything I bought, the screen doesn’t do him justice, he’s an angel in real life…]

└ You just go to Mass to meet him??

└└ They say he hangs out a bit with parishioners after Mass

    └ Baptismal name also Michael…♥

    [Damn, he’s so fine]

[I’m another Catholic who pilgrimaged to Shindo Cathedral…. It’s not just the priest there, the young man playing the organ at the choir is just… oh… oh…..]

└ Why stop talking?? Why about the organist?

    └└ Can’t describe his beauty with human words;

[Priest, please come to the mainland ㅜㅜ]

    └ 222 Please;

└ He’s currently assigned to the Incheon Diocese, so next might be Incheon too, running my happiness circuit here

[Angela is so cute LOL, she still won’t leave the priest’s side LOL LOL]

    [Whoa;;;; really Choi Seonwoo;;;]

    └ Wait, you know him?

    └ Wow, Choi Seonwoo? He became a priest? That’s surprising;;

└└ Don’t just keep it to yourselves, share with usㅡㅡ

    ***

An odd phenomenon is happening at Shindo Catholic Church. On Wednesdays and Sundays, when there’s morning Mass, the number of attendees has sharply increased.

Mostly groups of young women attend, and aside from the occasional clueless person trying to take photos or seeking almost a fan meeting level interaction, most are well-mannered and pose no real problems.

Choi Seonwoo, who typically uses the internet just to look up ‘mysteries’ ‘incidents’ ‘accidents’ ‘serial killings’, only realized how popular the cat adoption video he participated in was after being unexpectedly cast in a national TV program called “Animal Country”. This also explained why so many young people were visiting Shindo. Since men generally wouldn’t travel just to see another man, it was mostly women.

While it would be ideal if the church was filled with locals, Choi Seonwoo had no reason to mind outsiders filling the space. Even those unfamiliar with Mass proceedings were welcome. It was a small joy for Choi Seonwoo to naturally spread the word in this way.

However, he currently didn’t have the capacity to be overly concerned about the tourist Mass attendees.

“Hello, Father. This is Goo Seungjun. As you requested, I tracked Kim Hoseok’s whereabouts. He left Shindo on the first boat the morning of the incident and withdrew all his cash at Yeongjong Island. Since then, there’s been no trace of him. It’s possible he’s deliberately hiding, or something may have happened to him.”

Choi Seonwoo read the lengthy message from Goo Seungjun and slipped his phone back into his pocket with a short sigh. It had been almost two months since Kim Hoseok had left the island. The fact that the whereabouts of Hoseok, who had fled right after the cat abuse incident, remained unknown was still bothering him.

That day, due to extreme fatigue, Choi Seonwoo had overslept unusually, and during that time, Hoseok had fled the island like a midnight escapee.

Leaving behind his nearly full-term pregnant wife and even secretly stealing his father, the village chief’s, bankbook and seal. The village chief, who knew nothing about investments or savings, had almost his entire life savings taken by him.

After belatedly discovering this, the village chief was bedridden for over ten days, and the heart-wrenching situation led the island residents to take turns helping the heavily pregnant daughter-in-law with the fish farm and restaurant work.

Truly, a despicable person. A sly and cunning man, he must have seen his future through the cat abuser. Choi Seonwoo felt a headache just thinking about the evil spirit that must be growing somewhere out there, wreaking havoc.

“What, are you trying to save the whole world? Just turn it off.”

The voice right next to his ear made Choi Seonwoo shrug his shoulders nonchalantly. Recently, Seo Jihan had become more openly clingy, his chin bouncing off into thin air as Choi Seonwoo flicked it. Before he could lean in again, Choi Seonwoo stood up and looked down at him.

    “Are you ready? Let’s go.”

Seo Jihan got up with a cheerful smile.

    “Yep. Let’s go, it’s a date.”

    “It’s not a date.”

Choi Seonwoo replied coolly and walked ahead. Seo Jihan, as carefree as a one-man dog, followed without any sense of impact, giggling continuously. He seemed excited about spending a day out in Shindo after a long time.

“Do we really have to go all the way to the mainland? There’s plenty to do just going to Yeongjong Island.”

“What are you talking about? How can you shop in a place without a single department store?”

“Wasn’t the main purpose today to apply for a new ID?”

“Didn’t I say it’s a day out, with one thing leading to another?”

    “…Should’ve kept your mouth shut.”

Today was the final step before Seo Jihan became an adult—the day to apply for a new Resident Registration Card. Choi Seonwoo ended up being dragged around because he didn’t know you could apply online, though even if he had known, he likely would’ve gone along with it anyway.

It wasn’t just recently; Seo Jihan had always had trouble freely roaming around due to the swarming evil spirits since his childhood. Choi Seonwoo wasn’t heartless enough to trample on his desire to thoroughly enjoy the bustling streets, even if it meant making up a flimsy excuse.

“No, do these people think the churchyard is some kind of café?”

As soon as they left the rectory, Seo Jihan muttered discontentedly. Under the canopy shading the sky, four simple bench sets had been placed at the rest area, where a few tourists from the morning Mass were still sipping coffee nearly an hour later.

At another table diagonally across, Angela was watching them as if keeping guard. Even when offered snacks, she didn’t give them the time of day.

“Let it be. The church is open to everyone.”

Just then, Angela noticed Choi Seonwoo and ran over. The women who had been taking photos with Angela also approached with bright faces. Seo Jihan complained again, “This is why I hate it,” but Choi Seonwoo greeted them with a smile.

    “Father, are you heading out?”

“Yes. I have several errands to run today. It’s cold, so you all should go somewhere warm.”

Seeing them shiver in the early winter chill, Choi Seonwoo felt a pang of sympathy. Their cheerful “Yes!” in response to his casual conversation suggestion showed they enjoyed the interaction, and they bowed and started heading towards the entrance. Choi Seonwoo picked up Angela and swung her lightly from side to side.

“Have fun with your friends, Angela.”

    Meow.

Receiving an indecipherable response, he set her down, and she immediately scurried off towards the entrance. Usually, she would have brought her personal bag and insisted on being taken along, but she had changed a lot.

In the church, she still clung only to Choi Seonwoo, but her strolls had become much more frequent and longer. Maybe witnessing and getting involved in the cat abuse incident had awakened her as a guard cat, though the exact reason was unknown.

The two got into the pre-heated car’s back seat.

“Ever since you filmed that video for the cat adoption, I knew it would end up like this,” Kim Youngchan, who had already boarded the passenger seat, sighed deeply. Since Choi Seonwoo had become a public figure, Kim Youngchan and the other bodyguards also maintained a casual appearance, dressing in jeans, T-shirts, cashmere jackets, or leather jackets. According to them, they were trying their best to look like ordinary office workers on a holiday, but unfortunately, they just looked like typical gangsters.

“This kind of attention won’t last long.”

“That would be good. Shall we go?”

At Kim Youngchan’s words, Seo Jihan immediately shouted, “Go!” with the excitement of a child on a school trip.

The luxury sedan started smoothly down the rural road littered with falling leaves.
