Chapter 51. Leo and Jaina, Adel and Lilian

As Jaina looked at Lilian with a stern face, she walked elegantly next to Jaina and bent down toward her. Then she whispered softly enough for only Jaina to hear.

“Watch with your own eyes. Whether His Grace desires me or not.”

Lilian smiled at Jaina, who had a stern face. Jaina stood there for a long time, watching Lilian turn around and go back the way she came.

After meeting Lilian, Jaina returned to Leo’s bedroom right away and lay face down on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.

‘Watch with your own eyes. Whether His Grace desires me or not.’

Lilian’s declaration of war made her mind blank.

She had seen so well through the story how much her charm appealed to men that she didn’t think her confidence was fake. Wasn’t she a woman who actually charmed the crown prince and princes? No matter how much Leo built an iron wall, it would be hard to ignore a woman who was determined to seduce him.

‘Yeah. To be honest, he had an easy dick to set up. Wouldn’t it be easy for Lilian?’

Her heart started pounding again. Since it was the moment when she fell in love with Leo, jealousy, worry, anxiety, and sadness kept eating away at her mind. Then suddenly, Leo’s sharp attitude toward Lilian came to mind.

He must have been wary of Lilian because of the work at the palace, and he was displeased with her. Jaina sat up.

‘Yeah. I’m in a better position right now, right?’

Leo wanted her so badly that he kept fucking her without rest. Even if Lilian wanted his dick, he probably wouldn’t be able to give her the power since they had sex several times a day.

Jaina, who had been thinking that, nodded her head without realizing it and laid back down on the bed with a somewhat relaxed face. Then she suddenly frowned and jumped up.

‘No. Since we do it every day, it might get boring and he might be curious about Lilian’s body, right?’

They were definitely having sex to the point where it seemed like he might get tired of her. Once they started, they wouldn’t know how to stop and kept fucking. 

‘He might be used to me now and want new stimulation. Leo doesn’t love me in the first place.’

Jaina covered her face with both hands and let out a long sigh. In the end, it seemed like she couldn’t protect Leo from Lilian no matter what. At the point where she had fallen in love with him, she felt like there would be no point in living if she were to lose his heart to Lilian.

Although she was lucky enough to have a second life, no one would want to spread their legs for another man in order to live while seeing the man they loved happy with another woman.

‘In the end, to survive, I have to receive the Holy Power, and to receive the Holy Power, I have to spread my legs for a man of the royal family. Isn’t this truly a beggar’s life……?’

Jaina slowly moved her hands covering her face, rubbed her face, and let out a long sigh. If Leo were to give his heart to Lilian, she would decide to leave him without a moment’s hesitation. 

Fortunately, the saintess who died without receiving the power would simply suffer and eventually faint, feeling powerless and helpless. 

She thought it was fortunate that she wouldn’t die painfully, and if Lilian were to seduce Leo like she had declared war on her, she would quietly leave this place.

Two days passed, but Lilian didn’t show any behavior that could tempt Leo.

Instead, she was lying down sick. When Lilian was lying down sick, Leo told Adel to take her back to the Empire. Adel said that they would stay until Lilian got better. He even asked if he could send a sick person away so cruelly.

“How long do you plan on staying?”

“I told you. Until the hunting festival issue is resolved.”

“Don’t even dream about it. I have no intention of giving my power to the Imperial Saint.”

“Then I will give my power to the Northern Saint?”

“Shut up, Adel.”

Jaina, who had seen Leo and Adel bicker like this many times, paid no attention to their conversation. She just diligently ate her share of food.

“Jaina, do you think the same as Leo?”

Since yesterday, the crown prince had been calling her by her own name instead of saintess. Jaina, who was putting meat in her mouth, answered Leo while looking at him.

“Yes, of course.”

Leo raised the corners of his mouth as if satisfied with Jaina’s answer.

“My power may be better than that guy’s power.”

Adel pointed at Leo with his chin and said.

“What the hell are you talking about?” 

“There is definitely evidence to support this claim.”

“What evidence.”

“Even though we are from the same royal family, I am a direct descendant and you are a collateral descendant, right? So my power is much more…… than yours.”

“Pfft.”

Jaina, not Leo, laughed at those words. When Adel and Leo’s gaze suddenly turned to Jaina, who was laughing,  she blinked and felt embarrassed.

“Oh, I’m sorry. You said something ridiculous.”

“What was ridiculous?”

Adel frowned at Jaina’s words and asked.  Jaina put down the fork she was holding and looked at Adel.

“The royal family’s power does not differ depending on the direct or collateral line. Because power is not blood.”

“…How do you know that?”

“I read all the ancient books in the castle because of what Lilian said. You must know that there are about twenty more ancient books in the castle than there are in the entire empire.”

“…..”

“I read all the ancient books, and it’s written in most of them.”

Jaina turned her head and looked at Leo.

“The royal family’s power does not differ depending on the direct or collateral line.”

Then she turned her head again and looked at Adel.

“If you had just focused a little bit on the ancient books, you would have known. That’s why I laughed without realizing it. Sorry.”

Jaina, who had apologized indifferently, picked up her fork again and put the meat from the plate in front of her in her mouth. Adel stared at Jaina with a rather strange expression. Leo looked at her with affectionate eyes and picked up the wine glass next to her and placed it close to her.

“Drink some wine too, Jaina. The flavor of the meat will come out much better.”

Jaina nodded and grabbed the wine glass. Adel stared at the two of them and then smiled slightly.

“You have a strange charm, Northern Saint.”

The meaning of the words he muttered softly, as if talking to himself, was unclear.

Jaina, who had been enjoying a comfortable daily life since the sick Lilian did not come out of her room, suddenly widened her eyes at the news that a monster had appeared in a village in the empire. Adel also seemed surprised.

“A monster? Are you saying that the barrier was breached?”

“Yes, that is true.”

“The extent of the damage.”

“It’s a mid-level monster, so more than half of the villagers are dead or injured. Their houses and farmland are in shambles.”

The man reporting to Adel’s face was covered in shadows. Adel cursed softly and wiped his face with his hand.

“I think you should go with the saintess.”

“Lilian is sick right now.”

“Huh? Oh… Then the barrier……”

When the man trailed off with a stern expression, Adel turned his head sharply and looked at Leo, who was working at his desk.

“Leo. Lend me Jaina.”

Leo’s gaze immediately rose at Adel’s words.

“You heard it too. It’s a mid-level monster. If we don’t fix the broken barrier, we’ll suffer even more damage.”

“Is the Imperial Saint so sick that she can’t get up?”

“I would’ve taken her if she could get up. You know it’s a serious situation.”

“We need to create the barrier quickly. If another monster attacks the village, the lives of the villagers in the shelter cannot be guaranteed.” 

“There are many children in this village. There is no time.” 

Leo clicked his tongue slightly at Adel’s words and got up. 

“I will go with you.”

“What?” 

And at that moment, the door to the office opened and Leo’s aide, Rydel, came in urgently.

“Your Grace, I think you should go to the Immortal Plateau right now.”

Leo’s face hardened in an instant.
