Chapter 47. Leo and Jaina, Adel and Lilian

Still, since it was a health supplement that was taken care of for her, she couldn’t refuse it. She opened the lid and took a sip. Something sweet and bitter flowed down her throat. She frowned because she didn’t like the feeling of the two incompatible tastes mixing together.

“I’ll tell you to take it every morning, so don’t miss a single day and drink it consistently. I’ll check.”

Leo said, gently pressing her furrowed brow with his thumb. When Jaina nodded and licked her lips again, Leo pressed his lips against hers. His hot, blunt tongue pushed between her chapped lips and began licking Jaina’s mouth.

The sweet and bitter taste gradually disappeared with Leo’s kiss. Jaina backed up from the persistent kiss and fell on the bed. Then, Leo fell on top of her and said to Jaina as he pulled away.

“It’s a little different, but it was exactly the same situation in the palace. I ran away from the imperial saint who kept coming close and I fell on the bed.”

It seemed that he was quite upset because he was bringing up the story that had already ended. Jaina smiled slightly and hugged Leo’s neck with both hands.

“I know. You’ve got to run when she’s following you.

Leo shook his head and smiled at her words. Their lips met again and a deep kiss began. His hands skillfully took off Jaina’s clothes, and she also started unbuttoning his shirt.

Jaina went to the room where the heirlooms of the Grand Duke were stored with Leo. It was to confirm whether Lilian was right when a saint is strongest when they receive power from a new royal member.

    “What is this?”

As soon as she entered, a shining ring box caught her eye, so she pointed to it.

“It’s the Grand Duchess’ ring that’s been passed down from generation to generation.”

Jaina’s eyes widened at Leo’s words and she quickly walked to where the ring was.

It was blocked by a large glass box so she couldn’t touch it. But just looking at it, she thought it was an incredibly expensive ring.

“Do you like it? Do you want to wear it?”

    “Yes? No?!”

Jaina was startled by Leo’s words that he would let her wear the Grand Duchess’ ring without any worries and took a couple of steps away from the ring box.

“If you change your mind, just tell me. It’s a box that only I can open.”

She tried to tell Leo that she would never change her mind, but stopped herself.

Anyway, it was surprising that there was a Grand Duchess’ ring that had been passed down from generation to generation. She felt a strange sense of depression at the thought that someone else would end up wearing it. When she thought that Leo would open the box and give it to his companion who would spend the rest of his life with him, she envied the unknown companion.

‘I wish it were me, but it wouldn’t be me even if the sky split in two.’

At the end of the original work, the saint Lilian marries the crown prince and the princes. There was a lot of talk because it was unusual for a saint to marry several members of the royal family. There were more people who opposed it than those who supported it, but the crown prince and the princes ignored the opposition and took Lilian as their wife.

It was a happy ending for Lilian and the royal family who loved her, but it must have been a sad ending for those who opposed it.

‘As a reader, I was somewhat satisfied with the ending.’

In any case, there were quite a few people who thought that a saint could not marry a member of the royal family. But there were quite a few people who thought that a saint could not marry three members of the royal family. It was a novel that made me curious about the sequel.

    “I found it, Jaina.”

At that time, Leo showed her an old book that organized the relationship between the Holy Power, the Imperial Family, and the Saint.

Jaina quickly walked over to Leo and opened the old book he had handed her.

“Is this the book that contains all the stories about the Saint, the Holy Power, and the Imperial Family?”

    “Yes.”

    “Oh.”

She has read many old books about the Holy Power of the Imperial Family and the Saint, but she couldn’t find the part that Lilian said. No, rather than not finding it, the contents were densely written about each Holy Power, how it couldn’t be used. It was more of how the Imperial Family gave the Holy Power to the Saint and how the Saint used them.

So Jaina asked if there was an old book that explained in detail about the Holy Power that the Imperial Family gave to the Saint. Leo called the person in charge of the old book and found out that there was this book.

“If what the Imperial Saint said is true, it should be written in this book.”

Leo said, looking at Jaina who opened the book and scanned it.

“Isn’t it possible that it isn’t written?”

Jaina asked without taking her eyes off the book.

“If it wasn’t written, then the Saint wouldn’t know.”

“That’s true, but when I think about it, Lilian received the Holy Power from several members of the royal family in turn. I wonder if she learned something that the other Saints didn’t know.”

At first, she thought that she could just cross-check Lilian’s words.

There were a lot of books about the Saints and Holy Power in the Empire, so if Lilian’s words were true, it would definitely be written in the book. However, after looking through the various books, there were records of the saints receiving the Holy Power. There were no records of one Saint receiving the Holy Power from multiple members of the royal family.

So Lilian’s current situation was a very special situation that had never happened before.

“Then I have to prove it myself. To prove it, the royal member that has not yet given the power to the imperial saint must give it.”

Jaina’s face hardened for a moment at Leo’s words.

“The only royal family that has not given her the power is Leo.”

“I can’t give it anyway. It won’t stand.”

Jaina instinctively looked down at Leo’s lower body at his words.

“Anyway, there is no royal family that will give the imperial saintess the power anymore…….”

“Huh, His Majesty the Emperor hasn’t given it to her yet?”

This part was omitted even in the original, so she asked carefully. It was essentially a strange question. Even though it was said that she could receive sexual power from male members of the royal family, Lilian only received power from the princes, excluding the emperor.

Leo looked at her with a bewildered expression for a moment at Jaina’s question. He let out a hollow laugh and said to her.

“Oh, don’t you know this? When a member of the royal family has a child, their power disappears.”

    “Heuk! Is that so?!”

When Jaina asked in surprise, Leo nodded and continued.

“It is said that power is usually inherited. If the Emperor has a child with the Empress, the male child will receive His Majesty the Emperor’s sexual power. Of course, if they don’t have a male child, they will continue to have their sexual power.”

“…Ah… But why don’t female members of the royal family have sexual power?”

“If you think about it, it’s quite obvious. All the saints who can receive the power are women.”

    “Aahh.”

Jana nodded as if she finally understood the situation. She lowered her gaze back to the book and spoke in a flowing voice.

“Then if Leo doesn’t get aroused by Lilian, then I guess the only way to confirm this is by me.”

Leo’s eyebrows immediately shot up at those words.

    “What?”

“That’s right. In order to confirm the fact, one needs to receive power from new royal member. Lilian has already received all the power from the royal family members, so it can’t be done. Only I, who hasn’t received the power from those three royal families, can confirm it.”

“I have absolutely no intention of using you to confirm it.”

“Of course, I don’t want to be under another man either.”

“Anyone can put you under them.”

“Anyway, if that’s not written here, then that’s the only way to confirm it. Either you give Lilian the power, or I will receive it from Their Highnesses the Princes… Oh, it’s so creepy that I hate them.”

“There will never be any need to confirm it with either of those methods, so don’t worry.”

    “Please, I hope so.”

Jaina sighed and lowered her gaze back to the book.
