Chapter 35. The Northern Grand Duke has become strange

Adel smiled slightly and gestured to the chair as if telling her to sit down.

Leo still had a displeased expression, but he grabbed Jaina’s hand and went to the chair at Adel gestured at to sit down. 

The tea time, which was not very comfortable, began, and Adel started asking Leo various questions. Most of the stories were about work, so Jaina and Lilian naturally ended up talking alone. 

Although it was tea time for four people, Leo was talking only with Adel, and Jaina was talking only with Lilian. It was a strange situation. 

“You haven’t been to the prince’s palace yet, right?” 

Jaina nodded at Lilian’s question. 

“Do you want to go later? There’s a really strange animal living in the prince’s palace.” 

“A strange animal?” 

When Jaina’s eyes lit up with curiosity at the word strange animal, Lilian smiled and leaned toward Jaina. 

“Yes. It’s a four-legged beast with wings. You’ll be really surprised if you see it. Do you want to go see it?” 

Jaina quickly nodded her head at Lilian’s words. 

A four-legged beast with wings, it would have been unfair if she hadn’t seen it.

Leo and Adel’s conversation started to take a serious turn, so Jaina was able to go to the palace with Lilian a little more easily.

“I brought it from a foreign country, but I was so amazed when I saw it that I lived in the Prince’s Palace for a while.”

All the way to the Prince’s Palace, Lilian told Jaina that she would be really surprised if she saw a winged beast.

Jaina imagined a dog or cat-like animal with wings on its back, and wondered if such an imaginary animal could really exist.

Somehow, she even quickened her pace because she wanted to see it quickly.

And when she arrived at the Prince’s Palace and headed to the second floor where the animals lived, Jaina’s eyes widened at the sight. The being with visuals that made her doubt her own eyes.

“Oh my…………….”

“It’s really amazing, right?”

Jaina muttered, almost sighing, and Lilian smiled and asked.

It was strange, and it was said that it was a four-legged animal that had wings on its back, but it seemed like it had two legs instead of four.

Of course, it was cute enough to be admirable in its own way.

Lying face down on a round ball, the small wings on its back flapped and stretched out, and it looked more like a bear.

‘It might be more accurate to say that it’s closer to a panda than a bear.’

“So cute.”

Even though it was small compared to its size, the bat-like wings that were too small were cute. The flat and dull face that made her think of the word ‘bear’ at first glance was also cute.

“Is this an original species?”

The reason she wondered if it wasn’t a species artificially created by the humans here was because of the cutely mismatched wings attached to the bear’s back.

“Yes, it’s a famous animal from the foreign country of Kadaram, Hakunde.”

Lilian, who said that this was the first time she had actually seen it, said that it was okay to touch it since it didn’t bite.

Jaina shook her head and smiled, not wanting to disturb Hakunde, who was lying on a round ball bigger than her body.

“Later. Right now, he’s playing with the ball, so I think he’d hate it if I disturbed him.”

“They live with that ball 24 hours a day. Hakundes like round shapes, so if you give them a ball like that, they eat and sleep there.”

“Oh.”

Jaina nodded as if she was curious and approached Hakuntes slightly. The Hakunde’s head seemed to lift slightly, and their eyes met.

“Oh, hello……….”

When Jaina awkwardly smiled and greeted it, the Hakunde just stared at Jaina with blank eyes and didn’t make any special gestures.

Jaina, who had gathered a little more courage and approached it, flinched when Hakuntes suddenly turned his body towards her.

However, the cute sound coming out of the Hakunde’s mouth melted away her nervous heart.

“Haha, you’re cute.”

When Jaina, who had come close enough to touch, closed its eyes and smiled, the Hakunde stretched his neck toward Jaina as if to sniff her.

When she reached out her hand, it sniffed her hand and then started licking it with its tongue like a puppy.

“It tickles.”

A pleasant laugh escaped Jaina’s mouth.

Jaina’s gaze turned to the sound of a man’s voice suddenly heard from behind her.

He was a man with darker blond hair than Adel, with slightly green eyes, and a somewhat decadent atmosphere.

Jaina instinctively recognized that he was Eddie, the second prince.

The second male lead in the original work who kidnapped and imprisoned Lilian in order to have her all to himself.

His appearance was full of decadence, and his actions were similar to his appearance, making him a favorite among readers. A character that had a lot of mixed reviews.

Jaina instinctively looked at Eddie with great caution.

‘But where did Lilian go?’

“That’s right, Saint.”

The moment she rolled her eyes to find Lilian, Eddie approached Jaina with one corner of his mouth raised crookedly.

Seeing Jaina instinctively take a step back, Eddie asked.

“Why are you alone? What about Brother Leo.”

“But why are you alone? Are you lost?”

She was about to say that she came to see Hakunde with Lilian and that she had disappeared, but Eddie cut her off.
