Chapter 13. I Need the Power of the Northern Duke

At the doctor’s words, Jaina weakly answered and got up.

The doctor turned her head towards Leo again and focused on him. Leo, who was taking the medicine, pressed his temple and stared at Jaina as she went out. Then, after the door closed, he called the doctor who was putting the medicine bottles on a tray.

“Doctor.”

“Yes, Your Grace.”

“Are you seeing any signs of my body getting better?”

“Do you still not have morning erections?”

Leo hesitated for a moment at the doctor’s question and then carefully answered him.

“Very occasionally… I do get hard for a moment.”

At those words, the doctor’s eyes widened slightly.

“Do you get erections as soon as you wake up?”

“No. That….”

Leo shook his head, hesitated again, and then let out a short sigh as he continued.

“As soon as I wake up, there is no movement at all. However, when the saint’s body accidentally brushes mine or when I see the saint’s naked body, I feel a very brief heaviness.”

The doctor, who was quickly writing something down on a piece of paper, nodded and said.

“The medication alongside visual and sensory stimulation are working well together. If you continue the medication and receive various simulations, you will gradually get better.”

“…I see.”

“First of all, the reason why Your Grace’s noble place does not get erected is not due to a defect in your genitals. Your Grace’s genitals are better than anyone else’s. The reason why it does not get erect is solely a matter of the mind.”

“……”

“Therefore, the medication I am giving you is not a medication to treat the defect there. It’s a medication more of a placebo, even if only a little.”

The doctor stood up with the tray he had finished organizing and spoke to Leo.

“It’s not a stimulant, but it’s a medicine that will help you feel a little excited. Anyway, Your Grace is not sick at all, and rather, you’re healthier and stronger than any man. I think it would be good to keep that in mind.”

Leo nodded to the doctor’s words. The doctor bowed to Leo and went outside.

Jaina was looking at the artificial garden behind the castle with Lian.

“Wow, there was a place like this.”

Jaina couldn’t hide her surprise at the huge and magnificent artificial garden of the castle that she had never seen in a novel.

Lian, who was smiling happily next to her, began to explain why they had created such an artificial garden behind the castle.

“Lady Jaina must have seen a lot of these green plants and beautiful flowers since you lived in the forest of Elim. But to us northerners, it’s a truly amazing sight.”

“…Oh, really?”

“Yes. The north is so cold and there are frequent attacks by monsters. It’s an environment where lush trees, plants, and flowers can’t grow.”

Jaina nodded slowly to Lian’s words.

“That’s why our Grand Duke created this large and magnificent artificial garden behind the castle for the northerners. It’s open to the northerners for a few days every month, so many people visit.”

“Oh, I see.”

Jaina nodded while looking around the artificial garden made of transparent glass, as if it were a greenhouse.

“Sometimes, when you miss the forest of Elim, come here and rest.”

Jaina smiled slightly at Lian’s words.

She was originally born and raised in a place with distinct four seasons, but the season wasn’t important. 

Since she already had a lot of knowledge and memories about the seasons, she didn’t really have any particular seasons that she wanted. Her life was in danger, so she didn’t have time to think about the seasons. 

As Jaina and Lian left the artificial garden, she thought once again that Leo’s sincerity was beautiful as he thought of the northerners. 

“Kyyakkk!!” 

At that moment, a woman’s urgent scream was heard from far away. 

Jaina, startled, turned her head toward the sound and her eyes popped out. 

It was because of a huge monster with large wings. It had the appearance of a bird and a dinosaur and had begun to fly into the castle. 

Jaina instinctively ran toward the monster. 

On top of that, her two hands were already creating a sacred barrier. 

This was also an unconscious action of her body, which was born and raised as a saint, upon seeing the monster. While Jaina quickly created a barrier and ran towards the monster flying towards the Grand Duchy, Leo, who appeared from nowhere, began to attack the monster with a longsword.

He continued the fight by swinging his longsword at the monster that was several times larger than him.

Jaina sincerely hoped that he would not get hurt as she ran towards him, avoiding the fire that the monster was spitting out.  It seemed that this was not the first time that the monster had intruded. As she got closer to the monster, she saw numerous guards fighting together with Leo.

The giant monster breathed fire on many people and attacked everyone. The guards and Leo swung their swords at the monster. However, the monster’s power was very strong because of its size, and many people fell to the monster’s attacks.

As Jaina ran, she calculated in her head how much larger the barrier she would have to create to contain the giant monster.

And at the moment when Leo and her were finally close, the monster that had been attacking the guards on the other side of Leo suddenly turned around and stretched out its legs toward him.

Jaina quickly threw the barrier she had created at the giant monster with all her might and threw herself at Leo to hug him.
