FIB Extra 1 part 1
by AnonAnemonePR by neji
A carriage moved through the bustling crowd and stopped in front of an inn. Once the guards had all found their place, Junghwan finally came down from the front seat of the carriage and opened the door.
“Master, we’ve arrived. Please come out.”
Heon got out of the carriage first and looked around at his surroundings before turning around. After he made sure everything was safe, he held out his hand to the door of the carriage.
“Ah!”
MoonWon grabbed Heon’s hand and descended the carriage, her eyes wide. She had heard that Ju had transformed from a small nation into a large one, but she never imagined it would grow to this extent.
“It’s a lot more crowded than SeoMoon used to be.”
“Mm.”
“I’m sure all cities and towns are very similar, but Ju still feels a bit novel.”
“It’s because people gather where there is money to be made.”
MoonWon had traveled to many countries when she was on the run from Heon, but she hadn’t been able to go to Ju. Because she was afraid that Doyoon would try to use her to influence Heon, she couldn’t bear to see Heon suffer because of her. Even if she had to go to the bitterly cold Yeon, she never went in the direction of Ju.
“Because His Majesty was such a comfortable person to be around, I never realized that SeoMoon and Ju could be so different.”
“It’s because he comes to us so lightheartedly.”
When she heard Heon’s grumbling, a smile stretched across MoonWon’s lips. Because this was one of their first outings in a long while, MoonWon was in good spirits. However, Heon did not seem to be in a good mood, possibly because he had been stressed about bringing his wife and son on such a difficult trip.
“Yuha.”
MoonWon turned her eyes from Heon back to the carriage and picked Yuha up into her arms. Now a year old, Yuha had thankfully seemed to be quite comfortable despite being stuck in the carriage for the past ten days.
Yuha, who was asleep, heard the various shouts coming from the people around them. His eyes twitched. He frowned and his expression stiffened, making him look just like Heon.
The bamboo grove was still chilly, but it was currently spring in Ju. Although she did not mind the warm weather, she did not like how crowded and loud it was.
“Why did we come to Ju so early? There’s still a week left before the date that His Majesty gave us.”
The birthday of the Emperor of Ju, Yeon Doyoon, was being celebrated with a banquet, and it was going to take place next week.
In the past, Doyoon had always passed his birthday without any celebration, claiming that there was no point since he was already born. However, for some reason, he decided to open the doors of the Palace and throw a huge banquet, so he sent someone to the bamboo grove everyday to persuade Heon to come.
Heon didn’t care to go to the banquet whether Doyoon was holding a banquet or not, but Doyoon, who knew Heon very well, issued an imperial decree ordering Heon to come.
“You were curious about Ju because you’ve never been here.”
The day the imperial decree had arrived at the bamboo grove, Heon recalled how MoonWon had asked what Ju was like. She had mentioned in passing that she was curious because she had never been there, but Heon remembered it.
MoonWon’s face began to flush red. He would latch onto the smallest detail and try to do everything for her. Although her heart already belonged to him, she felt herself fall deeper in love.
“Stop making my heart flutter all the time.”
Although they were already married with a son, MoonWon had changed very little during all this time. Although he hated crowds, he found that seeing her like this was worth all the trouble.
“Then give me a reward.”
“What?”
“Give me a reward for my efforts.”
Her face turned red. While they traveled here, they were either in the carriage or stopped briefly at an inn. Heon’s patience had probably reached its limit. But how could he say such a scandalous thing when there were so many people around them?!
“I don’t know what you’re talking about! I have no idea at all!”
When Yuha heard MoonWon’s shrill voice, he finally woke up and opened his eyes. Instead of crying, he looked up at MoonWon and sighed.
“Yuha, your father keeps teasing your mother.”
As if he understood what she was saying, Yuha looked back and forth between MoonWon and Heon. After a long time, his small eyes looked at MoonWon before he turned to Heon and grinned.
“My goodness.”
“That’s my boy.”
MoonWon was so shocked that she could barely speak. As his mother, she was the one who comforted him day and night, fed him, and stayed by his side. And yet, what kind of son would take his father’s side over his mother’s?!
This was the ultimate betrayal.
“No one is on my side.”
When Heon saw MoonWon pout in dismay, the laughter he tried to suppress finally burst out. He found her sulky expression to be so beautiful and precious that he couldn’t help but want her even more as time passed by.
Heon pressed a kiss on MoonWon’s forehead as she glared up at him.
“Let’s head inside.”
As if to comfort his mother, Yuha began to press kisses on her cheeks. After betraying her like this, how could he now come back to her and claim he was back on her side?
Ignoring Yuha, MoonWon held out her hand. Heon took Yuha from her arms and grabbed it.
As if he were saying he was on her side… That he would always be on her side.
In the end, he was her husband, and Yuha was her child.
MoonWon followed them inside the inn.
* * *
As she held her chin in her pale hand, the men walking by would gasp whenever they saw her. Their eyes were drawn to the pale wrist as her sleeve flowed down her arm.
Unaware of the men’s gazes coming her way, the maiden’s eyes were indifferent as she looked out.
She was the beauty of her generation in Ju, and she was the representative gisaeng of MyungWolRu, the greatest brothel in the city. Her name was SeoHyang.
“That man is Duke MyungHyun?”
“Yes, my lady.”
People joked that even Yeon Doyoon the Emperor would fall in love with SeoHyang at first sight. She had a beautiful face and a gentle voice.
Known for her talents in singing and dance, they said that whenever she sang and flapped her long sleeves, rich merchants, officials, and nobles alike would lay all their gold and money at her feet. She was a very influential person in the city.
“Hmm.”
The man was completely different before his wife got out of the carriage and after. He looked so hostile that he seemed like he was ready to slit the throat of any enemy that approached him, but the moment he saw his wife, he exuded gentleness and love.
“They say Duke MyungHyun won’t look at any woman other than his wife, right?”
“That is what the rumors say. They say that because he treasures his wife so much, he avoids other women.”
He was an unparalleled commander of SeoMoon’s army and now carried the Emperor’s complete trust. Duke MyungHyun’s name was always on the lips of every noble and commoner in Ju.
Despite his overflowing wealth and authority, he never even glanced at other women and only treasured his wife. The noblewomen even claimed that the wife was held captive in the inner residence.
“Hm.”
She didn’t know what they were talking about, but she could see Duke MyungHyun’s wife grow red in the face at something he said. She glared at the duke for a moment before holding out her hand to him.
When she saw him hold the child in his arms and press a kiss on her forehead, SeoHyang smiled.
“It seems that Duke MyungHyun’s wife has gotten herself a very good husband.”
Not caring whether others saw, the man showered his wife with love. How many men were like this? She heard that the people of SeoMoon were weak, but it didn’t seem like that was true.
“Unlike Duke MyungHyun, doesn’t his wife seem very naive?”
Unlike the cold man, the wife showed all her emotions on her face. Although they said that she had already given birth to a child, in SeoHyang’s eyes, she looked like a woman who knew nothing about the ways of the world.
“I think it’ll be fun to create a little ripple in their calm world.”
It would feel indescribably victorious to bring a man like that to his knees in her embrace. Wasn’t Duke MyungHyun the adopted brother of the Emperor who held his complete trust? If that kind of man got tangled up in her skirts, her fame would immediately shoot up to the sky.
“My lady, we must return to the brothel now. You need to take a look at what you’ll wear to the banquet at the Palace and…”
“We can just choose whatever.”
“Then what shall we do about the prime minister’s banquet tomorrow? I heard that Duke MyungHyun will attend as well.”
“Really?”
It looked like something had finally piqued her interest in her dull, boring life. If it was a man who looked like that, she knew she’d have an enjoyable time in his arms. And once a man like that fell in love, he’d shower her with affection and money.
An excited gleam flashed in SeoHyang’s eyes.
“I better go to the prime minister’s banquet no matter what.”
* * *
Heon’s finger brushed against MoonWon’s lips. As if it were drawing the lines of her mouth, it traced along her teeth before plunging between them. Her hot tongue wound around his rough finger. When he felt the wet warmth, Heon rubbed his finger along the soft walls of her mouth.
“Hmm.”
Saliva began to drip out of MoonWon’s parted lips. As if Heon had been waiting for this, he began to lick it off her chin. Heon adjusted her nightdress and began to unravel its ties. The smooth fabric slipped off her shoulders, and Heon’s eyes drank in the sight of the soft skin that was exposed.
His eyes traveled down her slender neck and stopped at her lovely collar. He buried his lips against the hollow of her collar and took in a deep breath before he began to lick along the lines of the collarbone.
“Haa.”
“It’s been over two weeks.”
In consideration of MoonWon, who had a hard time during their travel from the bamboo grove to the capital, Heon had not approached her. He was being considerate of her exhaustion, but it also meant that he had reached his limit.
He pulled out the finger that was exploring her mouth and replaced it with his tongue.
“Sweet.”
MoonWon flushed when she heard Heon’s whisper. Just his low whisper alone caused her body to grow feverish in anticipation. Even though they shared countless moments together, whenever Heon looked at her with those eyes, her heart raced inside her chest.
“Didn’t you say… we should rest for today?”
“Mm, we are resting.”
She found his calm reply so ridiculous that she didn’t know what else to say. Ignoring the way MoonWon was looking at him, Heon dragged his and her clothing to the floor. Like fine porcelain, MoonWon’s skin was smooth and without blemish.
Heon’s eyes roamed over her body as if he were planning on swallowing her whole. He pressed a kiss onto her shoulder. Her eye-catching body was not only lovely to the eye but also soft.
“You’re beautiful.”
He was grateful to be the only one in the world to see MoonWon like this. His hand traveled from her taut stomach and wound around her hips. Feeling his touch gradually move up her body, MoonWon continued to breathe shaky breaths.
Although not much time had passed, whenever Heon looked at her with those eyes, he was dangerous.
“Y-You know we need to go out tomorrow, right?”
“…Mm.”
Instead of answering her, Heon began to suck on MoonWon’s ear. He nibbled and bit down, and the body in his arms began to tremble. When her ears grew red from the teasing, a soft fragrance emanated from her, driving Heon crazy.
Heon lowered her arm that was covering her chest and gazed down at the peak of her breast that looked like a small flower in bloom. His impatient hand began to squeeze her breasts, and the nipple between his fingers gradually hardened.
As her nipple was continuously teased between his index finger and thumb, MoonWon bit her lips and let out a soft moan.
“Hnng.”
MoonWon’s breaths tickled Heon’s cheek. Although it was only two weeks, during those two weeks, Heon was in pain. The only one who could get rid of this insatiable thirst was MoonWon.
Just when the throbbing pain in her nipple subsided, Heon’s hot mouth swallowed it.
There wasn’t a fruit sweeter than MoonWon. No matter how much he sucked and swallowed, her existence shook him and made him fall even deeper.
“…Husband.”
His stubborn touch left red traces along her skin. Just like her drenched entrance, her eyes were damp with desire. She wanted to feel more of him.
She wanted to take him in and feel his love throughout her body. When he saw her seductive reaction, Heon buried his face against her bosom.
“Please… hnng.”
Although he knew what MoonWon wanted from him, Heon wanted to feel her for a little longer. He licked the tear that trickled down the corner of her eye. With a final squeeze of her breast, Heon’s hand traveled down her taut stomach and grasped her buttock.
He began to suck on her nipple once again as he parted her legs. Realizing what Heon was trying to do, MoonWon’s eyes burst open.
“No… Not there… hnng.”
Although this wasn’t the first time, whenever Heon’s lips touched her there, she was overcome with embarrassment. Heon sucked out all the wetness drenching her entrance and swallowed the lump of flesh at the peak.
“E-Enough…”
“I can’t hear you.”
She couldn’t bear the sticky noises that filled the room. As she felt the waves of pleasure rock through her, MoonWon began to writhe her hips, but Heon’s hands held it down.
No matter how much he sucked and swallowed, the wetness never went away. Instead, more flowed out. MoonWon gasped as she felt her entire body catch fire.
“H-Hus… Haagh.”
MoonWon tilted her head back as her body began to shake. A clear fluid burst out and trickled down her leg. Not wanting to miss a drop, Heon sucked out the rest and even licked the few drops on her thighs. Once he had licked her clean, Heon rose up.
“That was mean.”
“It’s not like this is the first or second time.”
“But you know how embarrassed I get… Hmm.”
All he needed to do was cover her chatty mouth. Heon plunged into her pouting lips and began to suck her tongue. Meanwhile, his straining cock finally thrust deep into her entrance.
“Haa.”
He began to thrust in and out of her body. Whenever Heon moved his hips, a painful pleasure began to spread throughout her body. MoonWon panted for breath. She needed to pull herself together, but it was difficult to do due to Heon’s movements.
“Haagh.”
It was getting harder and harder to hold back her moans. She tried to suppress it by burying her face against Heon’s shoulder, but it eventually escaped her closed lips.
Beads of sweat flowed down his furrowed brow and dripped onto MoonWon’s chest.
His movements were rough as he continued to plunder her tender walls. As she reached her peak, she felt like she was going to dissolve. As MoonWon lay on the bed, Heon’s arms wound around her hips as he frantically pounded into her.
“Haa.”
Their visions turned white, and they had finally reached ecstasy. Her body shook within Heon’s arms. When she finally grew limp, Heon placed a deep kiss on her lips.
Once their intense round of lovemaking had finally come to an end, Heon rested his head on MoonWon’s lap and looked like a man who possessed the entire world in his hands. Her long hair flowed down her pale shoulders.
Her soft skin was like white paper, her flowing hair like ink, and the traces of their relations like red flowers.
Like an ink painting created by a master painter, MoonWon was so beautiful that Heon did not grow tired of gazing at her.
“We need to go out tomorrow… But you’ve left marks again.”
When he heard her complain, Heon merely smiled and laughed.
The women in the capital wore clothing that was a lot thinner and lighter than those worn at the bamboo grove. Whenever the wind blew, their skirts would flutter in the breeze and their skin would show. Whenever she saw this, MoonWon was surprised.
Although she knew that she didn’t need to wear that kind of clothing, unlike the bamboo grove, the capital was quite warm. It would be better for her clothes to match the weather instead of sweating underneath her thick garments. However, she couldn’t help but feel intimidated by the clothing here.
“It would be troublesome if the marks show through the clothing.”
“If it shows, I’m sure everyone will see how much love you receive from your husband and grow envious.”
Although Heon was cold to everyone else, he would often joke around with her as he teased her. Everyone else would hardly believe it, but it was only a side of himself that he showed to MoonWon and MoonWon alone.
“Then you can just bite me, too.”
“Husband!”
Heon burst out laughing at MoonWon’s cry.
He now had a family and a trustworthy wife by his side. He was so grateful for the life he was given. Although the more they had, the more responsibility she had to bear, MoonWon didn’t seem fazed and continued to stay by his side as she always had.
“It needs to fade away before the banquet tomorrow…”
“You smell sweet.”
Heon sat up and smiled at MoonWon. Her eyes grew round like a rabbit’s. Whenever he saw her eyes, he felt like he was being soothed.
After gazing into her eyes, Heon buried his face against her neck.
“It feels like I’m taking a bite into a fruit. If I bite down, it tastes sweet.”
“Despite what you think, I’m a person.”
“Mm, really? I think I need to bite some more to see.”
Before she could react to such nonsense, Heon approached her. Her skin that had calmed somewhat grew red once again. As if to soothe her swollen skin after all the biting, Heon repeatedly pressed his lips onto the red traces he left behind.
“The flowers are blooming again.”
“You said it was fruit.”
As if to change the topic, Heon smiled. MoonWon never knew that a man’s smile could be so seductive. No matter how annoying his jokes became, whenever he smiled at her like this, she felt her anger melt away.
Heon kissed the milky skin of her breast and buried his face against the cleavage. She was the only one who could satisfy his thirst and hunger.
“I heard that there are gisaengs who sing and dance here.”
“What?”
“The prime minister said that he called some for the banquet, so let’s go and watch them.”
“Can I go?”
Although Heon always took MoonWon to the gatherings she could go to, there were times when her presence was a bit awkward. But she had heard about the famous singing and dancing gisaengs at the capital, so she was a bit curious.
“You don’t have to come, but if you’re not there, then one of the girls may sit next to me and…”
“Definitely not!”
Even if Heon’s eyes didn’t stray, he was still a very handsome man. To think that she’d let another woman sit next to him… How could she possibly allow an alluring, beautiful gisaeng stay next to Heon? Definitely not.
“You don’t think I’ll give my heart to a gisaeng, do you?”
Heon gazed at MoonWon as she slowly drew closer. After placing a kiss on her pale forehead, he lightly nibbled on her soft cheek before pressing his lips to hers.
Despite Heon’s kiss, MoonWon’s stiff lips did not soften. Although she trusted that it wouldn’t happen, if one of the gisaengs took a liking to Heon and dragged him away…
Just the thought of it made her boil with anger and grow uneasy.
“I want to go to Yuha.”
“Just what are you imagining in your head right now?”
Many expressions had flickered on her face before she suddenly declared that she wanted to go to their son. Her coy reaction was so adorable in Heon’s eyes that he teased her a little. Now her lips were pouting and she refused to look at him.
“Do you think I’ll let you go?”
“I said I’m going to go.”
As MoonWon moved to get off the bed, Heon’s arms wrapped around her hips. As she felt herself get dragged back to the middle of the bed, MoonWon began to writhe.
“Husband!”
Although he could always give MoonWon to Yuha during the daytime, he refused to do so during the night. During their trip from the bamboo grove to the capital, they barely had any time alone.
“That was bad!”
MoonWon glared at him, but she did not reject Heon’s touch.
Whenever MoonWon was like this, Heon wanted her even more. Not hiding his arousal, Heon pressed his body against hers.
* * *
Just as the prime minister claimed, his banquet was incredibly extravagant. Although she had been nervous, the guests’ welcoming and friendly greetings relieved her apprehension.
“Wow.”
“Is it that fascinating?”
As the third exclamation left her lips as she watched the gisaengs dance in sync, Heon burst out laughing. Although it was a boring banquet, just watching MoonWon have fun wasn’t bad.
Heon took his eyes off of MoonWon and looked around the banquet.
“Mm.”
When MoonWon heard Heon’s voice, she turned her head. Everyone’s murmurings grew silent.
Step by step, her feet moved lightly across the stage like a butterfly on a flower petal. The woman’s movements were beautiful. Every time the woman moved, her red silk dress flowed out like wings.
“That girl is SeoHyang. She is known to be the most beautiful maiden in Ju.”
As SeoHyang began her solo dance, everyone’s eyes were drawn to her. Whenever she sang a popular folk song, whenever she moved a single finger, all the men swallowed and all the women let out sighs of admiration.
As SeoHyang continued her dance, MoonWon’s expression grew stiff.
Although SeoHyang sang like a bird as she danced around the banquet hall, her eyes were fixed on Heon.
Even though his wife was sitting right next to him, SeoHyang didn’t seem to care as she danced and sang while gazing at Heon.
“It seems that SeoHyang has set her sights on Duke MyungHyun.”
“Once that arrogant SeoHyang has set her mind to something, she won’t give up easily… Looks like there will be some trouble.”
When she heard the voices murmuring around her, MoonWon bit her lip. Although she didn’t want to show her discomfort, she couldn’t help the anger gradually boiling inside her as SeoHyang made her way to them.
“Husband.”
“……”
“Husband!”
“Mm?”
Usually, he would respond immediately, but right now, his attention was elsewhere. As if he were bewitched, his sharp eyes remained on SeoHyang. MoonWon’s heart sank, and her blood ran cold.
She tried to calm down, but her hands and feet began to tremble and her mouth went dry. Although she knew Heon would never do it, MoonWon hated this situation.
“You are Duke MyungHyun, correct?”
After finishing her dance, SeoHyang approached Heon. Unlike SeoHyang’s bright smile, Heon’s expression remained cold and aloof.
When SeoHyang was right in front of them, she grasped her skirts and bowed to Heon.
“May this servant offer you a cup of liquor, my lord?”
When she made this request, the banquet hall grew silent once again. Even though everyone could see that MoonWon was there, their curious gazes were drawn to SeoHyang and Heon.
“Has SeoHyang ever first offered a cup of liquor to a man before?”
“How bold of her to do this when his wife is sitting right there.”
“But if SeoHyang offered liquor to me, I’d be the first to accept it. When would I ever drink the liquor poured by SeoHyang?”
Even though this was such an amazing situation, MoonWon couldn’t find it in herself to smile. Although her tight grasp was on Heon’s clothes, instead of reacting to her like usual, Heon remained perfectly still.
“Although I don’t plan on accepting liquor from you, I do have something I’d like to ask you.”
“Hus…band?”
At Heon’s unexpected response, MoonWon and the rest of the banquet hall turned cold. MoonWon’s eyes turned from Heon to SeoHyang, she clenched her fists.
SeoHyang was now looking at MoonWon. Her confident gaze made MoonWon feel uneasy.
“If you would accept a private meeting with me, I will do my best to answer any of your questions, Duke MyungHyun.”
“That’s fine.”
Heon answered without hesitation, and MoonWon unconsciously grabbed onto him. When Heon saw her flustered expression, his eyes softened.
“I’ll be right back.”
MoonWon’s hand let go of his clothes and fell limply to her side. Despite his reassuring smile, she couldn’t bring herself to say anything.
One hour passed before Heon returned from his meeting with SeoHyang.
* * *
After Heon’s meeting with SeoHyang, rumors began to swirl that they had slept together. Heon claimed that nothing had happened, but he never revealed what they had talked about. While Heon was at the Palace, MoonWon looked out the window as she put Yuha to sleep.
“Haa.”
Just as he was falling asleep, Yuha opened his eyes when he heard MoonWon’s sigh. When she felt Yuha move, MoonWon turned her eyes away from the window and looked at him. When their eyes met, Yuha grinned up at her. MoonWon’s expression finally relaxed.
When she began to pat him to help him sleep, Yuha grabbed her finger. Seeing his charming behavior, MoonWon lowered her eyes to hide her emotions.
“Your mother is very upset, Yuha.”
Although it wasn’t something she should bring up to her young son, MoonWon began to speak the thoughts she had kept deep within her heart.
Although she knew that Heon would never do it… the rumors that had begun to circulate were so scary.
“Yeori.”
At MoonWon’s call, Yeori entered the room. Meanwhile, Yuha had finally fallen asleep. MoonWon looked at her sleeping son with complicated eyes before she took out her hooded coat.
“Mistress, are you going out?”
“I think I need to take a short walk. Please watch Yuha while I’m gone.”
Yeori tried to stop her, but she ultimately lowered her head. Although the rumors coming from outside weren’t pleasant, there was no way MoonWon hadn’t heard them. Even if she tried to stop her from going out, she knew MoonWon wouldn’t listen.
“Come back safely, Mistress.”
After Yeori saw her off, MoonWon went outside and let out a deep sigh. Rather than agonizing over it inside her room, MoonWon felt a lot better enjoying the fresh air outside.
She trusted Heon.
However, she found it very difficult to ignore the rumors.
“Mm?”
As she walked through the crowd, she came to a halt. The woman who was walking towards her also seemed to have recognized her and stopped as well.
SeoHyang recognized MoonWon and bowed first, but her expression made her look like she was superior.
She smiled like she had Heon’s everything and approached MoonWon.
Although she knew it was wrong to think this way, MoonWon wanted to slap SeoHyang across the cheek.
“We met at the banquet, right? Hello, my lady.”
“We met then and we meet again now. Have you been well?”
“Is your relationship between you and your husband still okay?”
MoonWon clenched her fists. The way she confidently asked this question was an obvious taunt. Because she knew why SeoHyang was asking this question, MoonWon’s bad mood grew even worse. After having received everything from Heon, including his promise to stay together forever, MoonWon had never doubted Heon’s love.
How could her faith in his love for her waver just because of one woman?!
“For a woman with beautiful movements and a lovely voice, you do not seem to have a good heart. How dare you try to create trouble by dazzling someone who doesn’t belong to you?”
Even the wives of the most high-ranking officials usually confronted SeoHyang by slapping her across the cheek or yelling at her with angry tears in their eyes. However, this was the first time a woman spoke to her so calmly.
Did that mean she still trusted her husband? Or did she trust that her husband wouldn’t stray?
Either way, now that she’d begun her mischief, SeoHyang didn’t plan on stopping.
“Even though you know that Duke MyungHyun and I shared a bed, you are still so merciful. I never expected that, my lady.”
“……”
“Now that I know you are so graceful and considerate, is it alright for me to stay by Duke MyungHyun’s side? Although I am probably not worth enjoying a second time, it seems that Duke MyungHyun has entered my heart.”
“Are you saying that you’re willing to become my husband’s concubine?”
SeoHyang smiled at MoonWon’s question.
A person’s heart could be so fickle. Although she knew that Heon would never do this, there had been doubts in her heart. However, after hearing this woman’s remarks, she was sure. Although it was strange, whenever she met SeoHyang, she felt more relieved.
“The day you two shared a bed, I didn’t see any traces of you on my husband.”
“Pardon?”
It was as if a blunt weapon had struck her on the head. SeoHyang was at a loss for words. Although she felt that MoonWon was different from other ladies, she had never met someone who was so blunt about details of their marital bed.
“You should have bitten him on the neck. Why didn’t you? Then I would have believed that the rumors were true.”
“……”
“If you want to become my husband’s concubine, you will need to show me the evidence.”
If MoonWon didn’t trust Heon, then who would? For Heon and MoonWon, the only one they could completely trust was each other.
Therefore, MoonWon did not plan on falling for the gisaeng’s tricks. Although she was upset and angry, she did not plan on revealing these feelings to SeoHyang at all.
“I don’t know about you, but I’m quite uncomfortable meeting you like this. I’ll be leaving.”
MoonWon calmly passed SeoHyang and continued on her way.
SeoHyang let out a sharp breath.
“How dare she.”
MoonWon should have looked hurt, but she looked like she wasn’t bothered at all. This caused SeoHyang’s stomach to churn. She had even used people to spread the rumor, so how could that woman react like this?
No matter how high his rank was, every man fell to their knees in front of SeoHyang. Even their wives begged SeoHyang to spare their husbands as they bowed.
Having been treated this way by MoonWon, SeoHyang felt humiliated.
“She was raised in a gilded cage, so I’m sure she doesn’t know much about this cruel world.”
Her body began to tremble from the twisted emotions ravaging her heart.
It was because that woman didn’t know much about the sufferings of the world that she acted so arrogantly.
“I had hoped to finish it with a brief night of pleasure.”
But if things ended like this, then what would happen to her reputation?
There was no man she could not have, and there was no man she did not want.
Didn’t she have to see that haughty expression crumble in order for her reputation to rise?
Trembling with rage, SeoHyang forced her lips up into a smile.
