DTL Ch 3 part 2
by AnonAnemoneWhoosh-
The hot stream of water drenched his head. SeonJae finally felt himself return to his senses and realized what he had done. After the first intense bout of sex, he didn’t give her any time to rest and proceeded to go for a second round. He placed her flexible legs on top of his shoulder and continued to take more pleasure from her body.
‘Aah, damn it.’
He felt the soapy water sting his eyes. He continued to stand still underneath the running water as he became lost in thought. He had never let someone else enter his living quarters like this. They had always used a different hotel room. And he rarely ever slept with someone without washing beforehand. And twice, no less. What had just occurred was shocking.
‘But what’s with that reaction?’
She had held onto his shoulders with a pained expression on her face.
He didn’t deny that he had been rough with her. However, she looked like prey that was just about to be devoured by its captor, and it only served to heighten his arousal. He ended up losing the last of his reason.
‘Have I been too stressed lately?’
Despite his busy schedule, he always made time to embrace a woman. The last time he slept with someone was one week before his business trip to Shanghai. It wasn’t that long ago, so it wasn’t that he sexually deprived. And yet, such a ridiculous thing had happened.
As he scrubbed every inch of his body, SeonJae wondered what had gone wrong. However, he couldn’t come up with an answer.
Damn it.
From the moment they had shared the kiss in the bathroom corridor, the moment he felt her soft tongue, he had been the one who had lost his mind. When he recalled how it felt when he first entered her body, his cock began to harden once again. SeonJae spit out a curse and quickly turned the shower valve to lower the temperature.
The heat within his body finally lowered somewhat as he stood underneath the cold water, but the events of what had just occurred continued to replay in his head. He couldn’t forget the way her panting face had looked as she reached her climax. He couldn’t believe such an innocent face could make such a lewd expression.
‘What am I doing right now?’
Realizing that he was pleasuring himself to thoughts of her expression, SeonJae was suddenly filled with a sense of shame. At this rate, he’d probably end up embracing her again once he was finished with his shower.
Until now, he had never been in the same room with a woman ten minutes after they had finished having sex. He had never slept through a night with a woman before. Every time they were finished, he was the first one to exit the hotel room. If the woman ever complained about this, he never met her again. If the woman showed clean bedside manners, he’d always send her the best brand-name gift. If the woman wanted cash, he’d give her cash. This was a business deal they had both wanted. Mixing emotions into something like this would be illogical.
SeonJae spit out the foam as he brushed his teeth and finally came to a conclusion. It was definitely because that woman was so strange. This was the first time he had slept with a woman who couldn’t speak. No, it was the first time he had slept with a deaf woman. His body hadn’t been able to control itself because he hadn’t been used to it.
After rationalizing it to himself, SeonJae furiously rinsed his mouth. Since this woman had aroused him to a point he hadn’t reached in a long while, he decided to gift her a foreign car. After his marriage, if he ever missed having some deviant sex, he’d call her and go for another round just like the one that they’d just shared. In other words, this wouldn’t be a bad investment at all.
That meant that he had to treat her well so that she didn’t feel any ill will towards him. Now that they were finished, he wondered what he’d have to tell her so that she would leave his home. He dragged his feet as he walked out of the bathroom.
Click.
He’d taken a shorter shower than usual and opened the bathroom door. What he saw was an empty bedroom. The bed that had been a mess from their recent romp was now neatly made.
“……Lee YeonJung?”
The woman was nowhere to be seen inside this large room. SeonJae covered his lower body with a large towel and walked over to the spacious living room and kitchen. However, no matter where he looked, the woman wasn’t there.
Haha. He swept back his wet hair as laughter burst out of his lips. She really left. He scoffed at himself for worrying about how he’d get rid of her now that they had finished their business. She had perfectly left on her own. Without a word.
Wondering whether she had left him a note, he glanced over at the bedside table, but the blank notepad and pen were left untouched on the spotless surface.
SeonJae frowned as he paced back and forth in the large living room. After doing this three times, he walked over to the hotel phone and called the front desk.
“My guest. The woman who was with me in the lounge. Did you see her leave?”
– Ah, if you’re talking about the florist Lee YeonJung-ssi, one of our doormen called a luxury taxi for her, sir.
The friendly voice flowed out of the receiver. SeonJae bit his lip.
– Is there anything you need?
The employee politely asked.
“Do you know where Lee YeonJung went?”
Bewildered by this unexpected question, the employee’s flustered voice traveled through the receiver.
– ……Excuse me?
“Don’t tell me you let a deaf woman get in the taxi without helping her give the driver the address of her destination.”
– Ah…… I thought she was just going home. I will try contacting the taxi company and make sure.
“Call them and report back to me.”
SeonJae slammed the receiver back into its cradle. The woman had run away. SeonJae decided to take some time to cool his head. When he pulled back the sheets from the bed, something caught his eye.
“……”
It was a spot. It wasn’t too big nor too small. It was about the size of a drop of wine. When he saw the bright red spot of blood, his face twisted terribly. The woman hadn’t been on her period. Or else he wouldn’t have slept with her in the first place.
‘Then what is that?’
A sudden inkling pierced through his mind. She had definitely told him that she’d been married before. She was a divorcee. A divorced single. That’s why he didn’t hesitate to embrace her. Like a beast. Fierce. Rough. As if he were trying to break her.
“……Lee YeonJung…… This…… Seriously……”
Even if she was someone who usually caught him off guard, there should be a limit. SeonJae began to walk over to the wastebasket where he had thrown away the two condoms. How did he not know? When he had been replacing the first condom, he had been so blinded by desire that he hadn’t noticed. He had lost all reason.
The wastebasket was empty. Housekeeping only came to the penthouse at eight in the morning. They came to clean when he had already left for work. That damned woman was definitely the one who had cleared out the trash. He staggered over to the hotel phone once again and made another call.
“Call the driver and tell him to prepare for departure. I’ll be down in ten minutes.”
He wondered how far that woman would go to screw him over. After angrily sweeping his hair back, SeonJae haphazardly put on his gym clothes and left the room. He didn’t have any time to deal with the formalities of his attire. He needed to bring that woman before his eyes this instant. He’d figure out what he’d say to her on his way there.
‘She was a virgin and a mere child, but she craftily deceived others and pretended to be an adult?’
SeonJae had standards when it came to his one-night stands. He was definitely not interested in virgins. He wasn’t so sexually deprived that he needed to satiate his thirst by embracing women who had no idea what they were doing. Rather than a sense of shame, SeonJae was filled with rage towards the woman who had put him in this situation.
“Hu…”
After using their customer’s wellbeing as an excuse, SeonJae’s employees managed to force the taxi company to give them the address of the woman who had just used their services. The address took him to a luxury apartment complex located near Mapo. Looking up at the clean high-rise buildings that were so different from her messy studio, SeonJae frowned as he looked outside the car window. If she had a cellphone, he’d at least contact her, but there was no way he could barge into her apartment without knowing her apartment number.
SeonJae remained inside his parked car for a long time. Ultimately, there was nothing he could do, so he turned around and returned to his hotel.
* * *
“How were you able to get in contact with Lee YeonJung-ssi until now?”
The following day, SeonJae asked his secretary in a straightforward manner.
“I used the email address written on her business card. According to Section Chief Han, because of Lee YeonJung-ssi’s condition, he had to use email in order to contact her about matters regarding the YoungJin event. Would you like me to give you her business card?”
After receiving the familiar business card, SeonJae went back to his desk and sat down. With his mouth shut tight, he directed his piercing gaze onto the flower petal embossed in the middle of the card.
After last night, the anger faded away and was replaced with a strange feeling. After much deliberation, SeonJae decided that this unknown feeling was an awkward discomfort. Before he took her to his bed, she’d told him that she didn’t need anything, but SeonJae hadn’t really believed her. On top of that, after he’d embraced her, it turned out that she was just a kid with no prior experience.
‘Damn it.’
No, it was too early to say that she was just a kid with no experience. While her body looked much younger than a woman of twenty-eight, that deaf woman wasn’t a pushover. That innocent and childish face might be hiding a gold digger underneath. It would be in his best interest to clean up this mess as quickly and as effectively as possible.
‘She seriously pisses me off.’
He even felt embarrassed for being so attracted to a woman like her. He had probably developed some kind of hormone abnormality due to his stressful schedule. What else could explain his act of sympathy back at the parking lot and his undeniable sexual attraction towards her? Any other time, he wouldn’t have even spared a glance at a woman of her caliber.
‘Yeah, it’s because I was too tired. I wasn’t in the right headspace.’
After firmly telling himself that he wouldn’t come across that woman after all this was over, SeonJae turned to the large monitor on his desk and opened Outlook. After typing out the woman’s email address written on the business card, he quickly began to write a brief message. He asked that she let him know when she could meet since they still had some matters to discuss.
After clicking ‘Send’, SeonJae turned his eyes to the pile of reports stacked on top of his desk. It was a small mountain of proposals he had to review and approve. After telling his secretary to bring him some coffee, SeonJae slowly began to read through the documents.
Clink.
As the sunlight began to fade from behind the window blinds, the day gradually turned into the late afternoon. The woman still hadn’t responded to him. Even as he was working, he would often check his mailbox whenever he got the notification for a new email. Other than emails related to work and an invitation to a university class reunion, there was nothing else of import.
– Sir, there is a phone call from the President.
While it wasn’t the call he was waiting for, SeonJae found that President Min was calling a lot more frequently lately. His brows furrowed in annoyance.
“Put him through.”
SeonJae chewed on his lips and picked up the receiver.
– It looks like your talks with the legal team in Shanghai went well. It seems that Kim MyungHwe of Samil Corp has a good impression of you. Good work.
“Thank you, sir.”
In order to please that old fart, he’d barely gotten any sleep and had been on edge all week. That was also probably why he’d lost all reason when it came to that deaf woman. His body hadn’t been in good condition due to the stress. He pressed his temple with his fingertips. President Min continued to speak.
– He’s an old snake, so no one knows what’s going on in his head. Don’t let your guard down until the end. You need to soften him up no matter what. That guy is the type of man who can change his mind even if we’re standing in the middle of the wedding hall.
“I understand.”
His head twinged as if it were on the verge of a migraine. SeonJae answered curtly and frowned.
– Are you still not planning on living in their house after your marriage? It’s a good opportunity. Think about it.
“I’ll deal with it on my own, sir.”
– Your wedding date has been set for February of next year. Once all your big projects have been neatly taken care of, take a couple months off for your honeymoon. Ah, but before that, it’ll be in your best interest to take care of the engagement party as soon as possible. After the company’s founding day party, you should set a date…
He wanted to hang up. It would be a lie to say that SeonJae didn’t recognize President Min’s desire to sell him off to that family. His engagement to the Samil Group would be officially announced at the company’s founding day party. He felt like he could see his value skyrocket before his very eyes. He suddenly felt an intense urge to smoke a cigarette despite having quit the habit already.
As soon as he put down the receiver after ending the call with his father, he got a call from Kim Chaerin, almost as if the two of them had planned this. She proposed a ridiculous idea to go shopping for her engagement dress together. SeonJae turned it down by using the excuse that he was too busy with work. Five minutes later, he received another call from President Min. SeonJae let out a curse and turned off his cell phone. Then he told his secretary to tell any future callers that he was currently in an important meeting. Finally, he started composing a new email message.
[Lee YeonJung-ssi. Let’s talk. Don’t we have some business to discuss?]
His patience grew thin when he didn’t receive a reply the next day. Because of his dark mood, all of his employees were cautious and did their best to avoid him.
[Are you joking around right now?]
On the third day, after a long day at work, he was tossing and turning in bed before finally sending out that email. However, she still didn’t respond. At this point, it was safe to assume that she was completely ignoring him.
“So you’re going to ghost me, is that it?”
“……Excuse me?”
After giving his report, Section Chief Han was just about to turn around when he saw SeonJae glare at his monitor as he murmured. Tapping his fountain pen on his desk, SeonJae scowled as he shook his head.
“It’s nothing. If you’re done, you may leave.”
“Ah, one more thing. The towing company that took Lee YeonJung-ssi’s vehicle called. They said that they finished changing the flat tire.”
Holding his documents, Section Chief Han spoke as if he just remembered this. SeonJae’s brows slowly rose.
“Is that so?”
“Because the car is an older model, I heard that it cost a little more than usual to get it fixed.”
“Where is that woman’s car right now?”
“I was just about to contact Lee YeonJung-ssi after giving you my report…”
“For now, just park her car in front of her workspace, but give me the key.”
“Excuse me?”
“Did you not hear me?”
“……No, sir. I understand.”
Section Chief Han exited the office and closed the door behind him. SeonJae brought his piercing gaze to the unanswered email. If that woman didn’t have a spare key, she’d definitely contact him. His lips stretched into a smirk.
Despite his calculations, she didn’t contact him for a week. After sending some people to check out the situation, they reported that her car hadn’t moved from its spot in front of her workspace. Did she evaporate into thin air? He felt as if he’d seriously had an encounter with a ghost.
Just when he was absolutely filled with rage and was grabbing a cold bottle of beer from the fridge, the email notification he’d been waiting for finally chimed on his phone.
[Thank you for sending my car back. But where should I go to get the key?]
Two lines. This ghost of a woman that he’d been waiting to hear from all week had only sent him two lines. SeonJae placed the bottle of beer down on the table and ground his teeth as he quickly sent her a reply.
[Let’s meet for a bit.]
[You must be busy, so you can just send it to me through a delivery service. There’s a service that I use very often. Should I send you their information?]
[Tell me where you are right now unless you want to see your junk car get scrapped.]
Five minutes passed by before she sent him a reply. She sent him an address. It was a high-end restaurant that was located close to his hotel. SeonJae grabbed a jacket and snatched his car keys. He’d finally meet the woman who’d been driving him insane for the past several days. He felt the blood rushing through his veins.
