Chapter 000
by ChloebookloverPrologue
Vicentia was a world where humans and fairies lived together in peace.
“Three hundred years ago, on a fateful day, the war with the demons ended the long-standing peace of Vicentia.”
Initially, there was an expectation that the human race would win, but in reality, it was the opposite. Demons kept pouring in endlessly while the number of humans dwindled with each passing day. As the shadow of defeat deepened over Vicentia and people fell into despair and grief, a hero emerged in the Tali Empire.
The youngest person in history to rise to the Order of the Archmage, his name was Hebe Myun.
He joined the war at a young age, led numerous battles to victory, and rose to commander. People looked to Hebe Myun as a small glimmer of hope for victory. However, a single person couldn’t withstand the endlessly advancing demons.
After over a decade, Hegermi, the god of the creation of Vicentia, delivered an oracle to those who had once again lost hope. The oracle foretold that a hero would slay the king of demons and bring peace. The one chosen by the oracle was a thirteen-year-old boy named Tayden Enderway. Hebe Myun took Tayden under his command.
Seven years later, the long war finally came to an end.
At some point, the endless stream of demons suddenly dwindled to a trickle, and the humans continued to win battles. The young hero, Tayden, had grown into a young man. He declared an end to the war by beheading the eighth demon king. Those hiding from the demons came out onto the streets, shouting the names of the heroes and cheering in celebration.
However, there was no Hebe Myun in that cry.
Hebe Myun, for some reason, became a black magician using the power of the demon realm before the war ended. The people were disappointed, saying he had sided with the demons and called him a fallen one. The criticism was fierce because the hopes placed on him were so high.
A once-renowned wizard who reached the pinnacle of his craft, he gradually became arrogant and greedy, eventually succumbing to corruption by dabbling in dark magic. While there were strong calls for his execution, he had the protection of the powerful oracle hero Tayden. As a result, even after the war, he lived a life of luxury and splendour in the royal palace.
The Demon Realm is the enemy. Why don’t you punish the traitor?
Did heaven respond to the anger of such people?
The ‘Fallen One’ died a year and a half after the war ended.
And thereafter, destruction began.
