Daon’s eyes followed his languid movements. Suddenly, as if she were thirsty, she quickly gulped down the liquor in her cup as well.

WooHyun’s eyes crinkled into a smile as he leaned towards her.

“What is it? Are you embarrassed to be talking about this with someone you’ve kissed?”

    “Ki-Ki….!”

Daon covered her mouth with both of her hands. It’s not like he said he was going to eat her. She was acting as if they’d merely pressed their lips together. Her surprised face was very cute.

With the intention of teasing her a bit more, WooHyun stretched out his legs and brushed them against her thigh.

    “Y-You can’t… do that here!”

He wasn’t sure what she was talking about, but WooHyun disregarded her words and asked her again.

“Tell me. Why did you break up?”

He lightly pressed his foot up against her exposed ankle. He could clearly feel her skin peeking out from the edge of her pants.

With her eyes downcast, Daon’s eyelashes began to tremble. She hesitated for a bit before looking up and finally meeting his eyes.

    “That is… Oppa, you’re… You’re…”

    “Yeah, Daon. What is it?”

As if she were trying to muster enough courage, Daon kept biting her lips as she stuttered. The more she did this, the more curious WooHyun became. Daon hurriedly clasped her hands together.

    “Oppa, you’re…”

    “Yeah?”

    “…big, right?”

The sleek smile on WooHyun’s lips hardened.

    “What?”

There weren’t many correct answers to such a blunt question. WooHyun watched as Daon’s gaze traveled down to his waist, and he looked down as well. That was when he realized what she had meant by her question.

Before he had left to meet up with JaeOn, he had quickly changed into some beige cotton shorts. There was an outline of something thick and long stretching from between his legs to his left thigh. When he saw this, WooHyun cursed in his heart.

    ‘Fuck.’

He was half hard. But what was even more embarrassing was the fact that Daon looked like she was on the verge of tears as she stared at him.

“The reason why I broke up with KyungChan was actually…”

…He didn’t want to hear it anymore. However, Daon continued as if she had finally gathered the courage to speak.

    “His wiener was too small.”

Ah, KyungChan… What did you do to deserve this?

WooHyun swept his hand across his face. He let out a deep breath, and it seemed to clear up his mind a bit.

“What does the fact that the bastard has a small thing have to do with you kissing me?”

    “You’re big, Oppa!”

“How could you possibly know that?”

    “I saw it!”

    …Fuck.

    “How did you see it?”

    “When you were sleeping.”

    “You took my clothes off?”

    “No, not that…”

    “Then how?”

“I saw it all through your pants just like now.”

He was well past embarrassment and shock. All he could do now was laugh. The one who had persistently asked why she had broken up with her boyfriend was him, but he never dreamed that she’d give him this answer. He felt like he’d poked a beehive, and all the bees had swarmed out.

“You should have hidden it better, Oppa…”

After having dropped the bomb, Daon tried to cool her face with the back of her hand. She looked as if she’d just made a shy love confession along the lines of, ‘Do you like candy? I like candy too.’

WooHyun threw back a shot of soju. He was never the type to enjoy liquor, but he felt that it was times like these that warranted a bottle of soju.

He wasn’t sure how he was going to see Daon from here on out. She continued to sneak glances at him with a carefree expression. Whenever their eyes met, she’d start giggling. He could hardly believe this was happening.

It seemed that the one who needed courage now was WooHyun. His chest rose as he took in a deep breath.

“Speak up if you have anything else to say. Let it all out right here, right now.”

    Daon responded without hesitation.

    “Sleep with me just once.”

    …This was ridiculous. Seriously.

“I won’t beat around the bush. If you sleep with me just once, I think I can continue living on with those memories alone.”

This was new. There had been clingy girls who had followed him around as they begged him to go out with them. However, he had never seen nor met someone who asked him to sleep with her because he was big.

WooHyun licked his dry lips and crossed his arms. Daon’s large eyes filled with anticipation. There was such a large gap between the way her innocent eyes gleamed and the request she had just made.

Lost in thought, WooHyun finally opened his mouth.

    “So what you’re saying is…”

    “……”

    “You want to eat me?”

    “Ah?”

“That’s what you want to say, right?”

“I wouldn’t put it so bluntly like that…”

The bridge of her nose crinkled as she giggled. As her lips parted, her white teeth flashed before disappearing behind them again.

He suddenly recalled the soft kiss they had exchanged at his place. It was as if he were reliving the moment when he felt her soft skin underneath his lips.

WooHyun had been very aroused back then. Before he could acknowledge that, his lower half reacted first. It had strained against his pants as if it were trying to pierce through the fabric. It took a lot of work to make it calm down.

    But this still wasn’t right.

“How am I supposed to see Yu JaeOn’s face from now on?”

“Don’t you think it’s about time you stop seeing that face?”

Daon’s eyes sparkled as she answered without hesitation.

“You can just see my face instead of Yu JaeOn’s.”

“Are you confident you won’t regret this?”

“If I’m going to have regrets whether I do it or not, I’d rather regret it after doing it.”

WooHyun covered his eyes with his hand. A helpless laugh burst out of his mouth.

    * * *

They left the snack bar tent and were on their way home. Daon kept up with WooHyun and walked by his side with short, quick steps. WooHyun occasionally stopped walking and looked down at Daon incredulously.

He couldn’t believe it. Whenever he scoffed and murmured in disbelief, Daon would giggle along with him as if to soothe his shocked heart.

In her head, she was trying to think of ways to enter WooHyun’s home.

At some point, they finally reached the front of her apartment building. The walk home had never felt this short before. Because her plans weren’t complete, she felt a bit impatient.

“Yu Daon. You should head in now.”

Now it was time to say goodbye. They said that the backs of people who left when they should leave was the most beautiful thing. However, Daon had no intention of letting him see how beautiful her back was.

    “Shall we go inside together?”

    “……”

Having seen through her obvious ploy, WooHyun did not fall for it. Daon looked up at him with wide, innocent eyes, but his gaze only held caution and wariness.

Daon sighed and sunk her shoulders so that he could see. She looked at him with such a sorrowful expression in hopes that it would affect the sympathetic part of his heart that might not even exist.

She knew how sharp his temperament could be, so she gave it a try.

“I’m scared because no one is home…”

WooHyun narrowed his eyes. Feeling that she’d gotten halfway, Daon felt a surge of hope. Hiding the eagerness deep inside her heart, she did her best to utilize the little acting skills she had.

“My parents went to their vacation house again… and Yu JaeOn went running off to SoYoung-unnie… Geez, I’m always alone. What if a robber breaks into our home? I’m scared of ghosts and people…”

    “Yu Daon.”

    “Yeah?”

WooHyun carefully examined Daon’s face and lightly tapped her mouth with his fingertips.

    “I can see your smile.”

She was about to sniffle and wipe her eyes, but Daon quickly hid her mouth behind her hands and glared back at him.

“You put your hands on my face. Take responsibility for it.”

“Rather than seeing you pretend to be pitiful, this is much better.”

It was then. The cloudy sky opened up, and a few drops of rain began to fall.

The moment WooHyun held out his hand and looked up at the sky, something flashed in Daon’s mind.

“Head inside before you get drenched by the rain.”

    “Okay!”

Daon eagerly responded, and WooHyun glanced at her suspiciously before turning around.

The raindrops grew fatter, and with a whoosh, the refreshing rain began to pour. Daon felt like this was some kind of divine intervention. She felt like a parched crop welcoming the rain after a long drought.

Daon pretended to head into the lobby of her apartment building before abruptly running in the opposite direction with all her might. The pouring rain completely drenched her body. Although it was raining so hard that everything looked blurry, her target was clear, so she was able to run without any hesitation.

Daon was gasping for breath like a drowned rat. Both cheeks were flushed as she spoke up in a panting voice.

“You never said where I should head in.”

Daon impatiently gazed at WooHyun’s dumbfounded expression. She felt like her heart would twist inside her chest. No matter how much she poked him, he continued to reject her. At this rate, she’d end up kicking her blankets in bed tonight.

“Let me sleep over tonight. Just this once.”

    “……”

“If you can’t allow that, then at least let me eat some ramen before I head back home.”

    “You’re going to eat again?”

Having underestimated her stomach, WooHyun beckoned her with his finger. Daon straightened up and hesitated before walking over to him.

Instead of saying she would eat some ramen, should she have just asked him if she could stay until the rain died down? Since they were Korean, there was no way they weren’t aware of the connotation regarding eating ramen1.

    “You’re completely wet.”

WooHyun took off his outer shirt and draped it over Daon’s shoulders. When she felt the dry cloth envelope her, her trembling died down.

His low murmur tickled her ears and made her lower abdomen grow hot.

“At this rate, you’ll catch a cold.”

His finger swept her wet hair behind her ear and lingered on her skin. Daon’s shoulder reflexively flinched as she looked up at him. However, his expression looked as peaceful as always.

    * * *

After taking a shower in WooHyun’s bathroom, Daon put on the soft t-shirt and sweatpants that he had given her to wear. She wiped the fogged mirror and looked at her reflection.

The black t-shirt was way too big and drooped around her shoulders. The pants were so long that they would drag on the bathroom floor, so she folded them to match the length of her legs.

She had followed him here, determined to seduce him. But with the way she looked now, there was no way her plan would work.

“Nothing seems to be going right today.”

Disappointed, Daon turned the doorknob and opened the bathroom door. She held the pants up to her hips because they kept threatening to fall down. She began to look for WooHyun.

She walked through the wide living room and passed through the dark corridor. She discovered some light seeping through a bedroom door. Daon opened the door and peeked inside.

“The clothes are too big. Don’t you have anything smaller? Maybe something you wore when you were younger?”

WooHyun had taken out some bedding and was tidying up the bed.

“I don’t. Is it that big?”

Daon held up both of her arms to her side to show him. WooHyun turned around. When he saw her, he quickly held back the urge to burst out laughing as he bit his lips.

“It’s really big. I don’t have anything else, so what should we do? I can lend you an umbrella, so do you want to go back home?”

“…No. I forgot that pajamas are supposed to be big.”

This was the first time she had entered WooHyun’s bedroom. She wasn’t sure if he was being intentionally minimalist, but the large room only had a bed and a bedside table. It looked very empty and deserted.

Daon walked around the bedroom. When she saw WooHyun grab a pillow and head out to the living room, she grabbed him.

“Where do you plan to sleep?”

“The sofa in the living room.”

“No, you’ll blow your back out.”

“Who are you to worry about my back?”

She always felt sorry whenever he slept on the sofa back at her place. She couldn’t let him sleep on his sofa at his home, too. Daon snatched the pillow from his arms.

“I’ll sleep in the living room.”

“You said it would blow out your back.”

    “I’m sturdy, so it’s okay.”

“If you’re going off of sturdiness, then I’m more sturdy than you.”

WooHyun easily took the pillow back and began to walk out. When he felt something pulling him from behind, he stopped.

Daon had cautiously grabbed onto the hem of his shirt. She barely managed to get her words out.

“Then let’s just sleep here together.”

As expected. WooHyun lifted a brow. Under his suspicious scrutiny, Daon quickly tried to justify herself.

“I’ll be good and just sleep.”

    “……”

    “I won’t say anything weird, I promise.”

    “……”

    “I don’t snore. I don’t have any sleeping habits.”

He obviously didn’t believe her. He was always so quick to catch on…

WooHyun closed his eyes and swept his hand across his face. However, he couldn’t hide the fact that his ears had grown red. He stood in front of Daon for a long time before speaking up.

“Alright, so go and lay down.”

    “R-Really?”

    “Yeah. Really.”

“Don’t be cheap and take it back.”

    “I’m not you.”

Daon took the pillow from his grasp and gleefully went to the bed. She pulled up the fluffy comforter and got into the bed. When she looked back, WooHyun hadn’t moved.

“I’m going to turn the lights off.”

Wow, this must be for real. Click, the lights went off. The blue light from outside gently illuminated the room. Daon remained lying down and slapped the spot next to her.

“Hurry up. There’s a lot of room left here.”

Her heart was beating so loudly that she felt like it was ringing in the room. However, because she had promised not to say anything weird, she planned on keeping her word. She needed to gain his trust in order to create more opportunities in the future.

After a few moments, she felt one side of the bed sink. She peeked to her side with the corner of her eye to verify that he was there. She was a bit annoyed at how big this bed was.

WooHyun kept his back to her as he lay down. It’s not like he was a monk who had sworn to keep his chastity. Why was he putting up a wall between them? Daon stared at his wide back and scoffed.

“Are you afraid someone’s going to eat you? I don’t plan on clinging onto someone who doesn’t want me.”

Filled with the desire to fight back, Daon stared up at the ceiling.

What if being big was all Na WooHyun had going for him? What if he didn’t even know how to properly use it? She started consoling herself with these thoughts. His wiener was only good to look at, but that was it.

As she consoled herself, she heard a low voice coming from her side.

“I’m not afraid that you’ll eat me. I’m afraid that I’ll eat you.”

    “……!”

Startled, Daon gasped. She looked to her side with wide eyes. His large back was as immovable as a boulder.

    “…You can eat me.”

She mumbled to herself as she closed the distance between them. His familiar scent tickled her nose. His back filled her eyes as her heart skipped a beat. She felt her throat close up as she swallowed.

    “Oppa, are you sleeping?”

    “Yeah.”

    “You’re not sleeping.”

As she drew even closer to him, she could hear his irregular breaths. His racing heartbeats gradually grew louder.

Her eyes smoothly traveled down the nape of his neck to his wide shoulders. They lingered on the firm muscles of his arm. She felt her patience reach its limit.

“Can I hug you just once?”

    “N—…!”

Before he could give her an answer, she stuck her body against his back. She wound her arms around his hips and buried her flushed face against his skin.

    ‘I’m dead…’

Once today was over, she’d never be able to see Na WooHyun again. Even if he didn’t avoid her, she wouldn’t be able to face him due to her own embarrassment.

As long as she lived under the same roof as Yu JaeOn, she was bound to come across WooHyun from time to time. Should she move out? The thoughts continued to plague her head until she grew dizzy.

“Ah, sorry. I better just go home. Can I borrow an umbrella…!”

She began to pull away as she sat up. Suddenly, she flopped back down onto her back and felt something heavy pressing down from above. She felt something bind her wrists and pull them over her head.

Unaware of what just happened, Daon blinked. Once her eyes grew accustomed to the dark, she saw that Na WooHyun had climbed on top of her.

    “Yu Daon, you…”

    “……”

“What did you do with your underwear?”

WooHyun’s breaths were ragged. Daon’s heart skipped a beat when she saw that his usual composure was nowhere to be seen.

His narrow eyes gleamed. They reminded her of the eyes of a beast that did not want to lose its prey.

Completely oppressed by his fierce aura, Daon answered with much difficulty.

    “They were wet…”

    “……”

“They were wet, so how could I wear them again…”

His ravenous eyes stared at Daon’s forehead before slowly traveling down. WooHyun tilted his head before swallowing her lips with his own.

When she felt the unfamiliar touch of his hand slipping underneath her t-shirt, Daon shuddered.
