    Woorak was dumbfounded.

He acted innocent and childlike, but behind Wooraks back, he was preparing something like this, the sly bastard. He’d been so unnervingly affectionate that Woorak thought he might have feelings for him. He’d felt extremely uncomfortable but considered using it to escape, but he never imagined he’d be put on a dog leash.

When Woorak didn’t react, Heedo fastened the collar around his neck. He tied the end of the leash to a pillar, tugged on it a few times to check its hold on Woorak, and then returned to cut the leather belts binding Woorak’s hands and feet with scissors. He checked Woorak’s wrists for injuries, but Woorak roughly snatched his hand away.

    “I’m fine. Let go.”

    “Hyung… are you angry?”

    “Me? Why?”

“Right? I thought you might be upset that your situation has improved… You’re not really mad, are you?”

“No, I’m not. I’m not. Fuck, I said I’m not. Why? What? Move, I need to use the bathroom.”

Woorak nudged Heedo’s shoulder with his knee and went into the bathroom, slamming the door… which then promptly bounced open. The chain was caught in the doorway, preventing it from closing. The anger simmering inside Woorak finally erupted.

“Hey, are you fucking leaving or not? Do you want me to shit in front of you? Where the hell did you find such a perverse dog collar, just like you? It’s itching the fuck out of me. Why don’t you just bring me dog food too? Treating me like a goddamn dog. This little shit was clinging to me all over, calling me ‘hyung’ this and ‘hyung’ that crap, and now you put a cheap-ass dog collar on me? Am I a dog? Am I a dog? ‘Hyung, hyung,’ my ass. What a filial brother. May you live long and prosper, Your fucking Majesty.”

Heedo quickly got up and fled up the stairs as if running away. It seemed Woorak was seriously pissed off.

Woorak glared at Heedo’s disappearing figure until his eyes hurt, then stomped on the toilet lid. It cracked loudly and broke, and he tossed the broken pieces aside before plopping down on the toilet seat. Anger, irritation, disappointment, and betrayal churned within him.

“Fuck, I can’t even shit now.”

Even though there was nothing to flush, he stood up and habitually pushed the toilet. The water gurgled strangely instead of flushing cleanly. It was unsettling, but he just shook his head once and stepped out of the bathroom, when a gurgling sound suddenly erupted behind him.

A sense of foreboding crept over him as his head turned like a rusty machine. A demonic sound emanated from the dilapidated toilet. A deep, gurgling sound was rapidly growing louder.

The moment Woorak realized he was screwed, even before he could throw himself out of the bathroom, sewage erupted from the toilet with a splat. It splattered against the bathroom ceiling and then, as if not satisfied, overflowed, gushing through the doorway and soaking the basement floor. Woorak screamed and scrambled for the stairs. The leash was too short for him to climb the stairs, so he cried out desperately towards the basement door.

“Heedo! Come down here! Quick, there’s a huge problem! Heedo! Heedoooo!”

This bastard, making me feel so damn awkward.

Woorak muttered under his breath, quickly scrubbing with the shower towel. Heedo was washing himself for the fourth time already.

When Woorak screamed because of the shit-water that reached his ankles, Heedo came down to the basement and covered his mouth at the horrific sight. Seeing this kind of hellish scene was a first for him. He first pried Woorak’s hands off of himself, hands that were scratching at his own skin in a desperate attempt to survive, and went back upstairs.

He heard Woorak cursing and threatening to kill him from behind. Heedo returned with a pair of nippers and cut the leash around Woorak’s neck. The moment he was free, Woorak dashed toward the door. Heedo grabbed his shoulder and stopped him. He couldn’t let those feet, soaked in shit-water, inside the house.

Heedo put his arms under Woorak’s back and the back of his knees. He thought he could lift him. Though Woorak was tall and broad-shouldered, he wasn’t a match for Heedo. He gave a reassuring nod to the horrified Woorak and lifted, but his body wobbled.

    This isn’t right.

Woorak was heavier than he expected, and his arms were shaking. Woorak’s butt was slipping through his arms. Trying to regain his balance, he supported Woorak’s butt with his knee and heaved him up, but then he lost his balance and fell backward. His vision flipped, and the background moved in slow motion.

His body fell like he was swimming, Woorak reaching out to grab the stair railing, him grabbing Woorak’s leg, Woorak’s grip slipping, and then—Woorak kicking him in the chest to regain his balance…

    How could you!

With a splash, Heedo landed in the shit-water.

Woorak ran. Naked or not, he had to escape. He sprinted out of the basement, reached the front door and turned the doorknob. It wouldn’t open. He slid the lock. It wouldn’t open. He removed what looked like a locking pin. It still wouldn’t open.

    Damn it!

He ran to the windows. Several tall, long windows were lined up. He turned the lock of one and pushed. It opened. However, the outward-opening window wouldn’t budge no matter how hard he pushed, it would only open halfway. It was designed to only open and lock at a half-open position.

    No choice.

He hooked one leg over the windowsill. He thought he might be able to get out and squeeze through. He managed to stick his head out, but his chest got stuck. Completely wedged, he was suspended with both feet off the ground. He was trying to get his lower body out, moving his other leg over the windowsill, when his hair was sharply tugged. And his body, so tightly stuck a moment ago, was yanked out like a radish from the ground.

    Woorak rolled his eyes upward.

Heedo was holding his hair and pushing his head down, preventing him from lifting his head properly. Heedo, radiating a menacing aura, looked down at him with an expression of mixed anger and sorrow. Almost habitually now, Woorak blurted out an apology.

“Heedo, you see, this is, uh, ow!”

Heedo dragged him by the hair. His head was forced down the floor, and his waist bent as he was dragged along. He tried to pry Heedo’s wrist off his hair, but it wouldn’t budge. Instead, it tightened as if Heedo was trying to rip his scalp off.

“Hey, hey, let go of this and let’s talk. Hey, my scalp is sensitive, I’ll go bald!”

Heedo twisted his wrist and turned Woorak’s head. Woorak’s sharp features were contorted in pain. Heedo had a fairly thick clump of hair in his hand, but he couldn’t just ignore Woorak’s age. He sighed and let go of Woorak’s hair. The instant he did, Woorak threw a punch. Heedo twisted his body to dodge and grabbed Woorak’s wrist.

    Woorak gave an awkward laugh.

“Whoa, Heedo, you’ve been working out, haven’t you? I knew it back when I was still in good shape. Why are you glaring at me like that? That just now? I thought it might work this time. Guess not? I won’t do it again. Hehehe.”

This sly bastard, acting all dumb and confusing me, made me think it might actually work.

Heedo dragged the groveling Woorak to the bathroom and tied his hands and feet. Then, with difficulty, he took off his wet clothes and staggered into the shower, turning on the water. From Woorak’s position, only Heedo’s back was visible, and his back was heaving heavily.

Heedo, who had been standing under the pouring water with his head down, turned his face. With a look of utter sorrow, he accused Woorak.

    “Hyung… you pushed me.”

    Woorak avoided his gaze.

“I was trying to save you, but hyung… you… tried to save yourself and kicked me… like this…”

Heedo pointed to his chest with a trembling hand. Woorak rubbed the side of his mouth so hard his face contorted.

“I was so… shocked I couldn’t even move… I still believed in you and waited… I kept thinking you were just surprised, and that you’d have reacted instinctively, and that you’s soon come back to help me, but you didn’t, and the water kept rising… I barely made it out, and you, without a care for me, tried to escape, hanging on the window like a frog…”

    That bastard’s twisting things around.

Somehow, him trying to escape seemed worse than the guy who used a stun gun on him and locked him up. He had a lot to say, but for some reason, the words wouldn’t come out, and he just opened and closed his mouth. Heedo suddenly started scrubbing his body frantically, scratching as if trying to peel off his skin, complaining that his skin was itchy and burning…

    Alright, I’m the guilty one.

“Heedo, I’m sorry. You know my situation. Would I have done that if things were just normal between us? And I was really worried about you. I was going to call a professional plumber and get you some medicine for the… you know… the shit-water and…”

Heedo trembled, his face pale. He looked down at his body with frightened eyes, then wrapped his arms around his head and collapsed to his knees, sobbing.

    “Uwaaaahhhuuuh.”

    He’s overreacting.

    Woorak shook his head.

Heedo continued to wail, crawling on the bathroom floor with his forehead pressed against the tiles, a display of distress that Woorak found overly dramatic and unsettling.
