    Chapter Index

His contorted face resembled a savage beast. His eyes shimmered with a dangerous gleam, and the veins on the hands gripping her ankles bulged. His tanned skin made him appear more primitive.

With a seductive face and an alluring physique, he was truly enchanting. But to Liena, at this moment, he was nothing but a monstrous creature – a wild beast ready to consume her whole.

His throbbing member poised to penetrate again. Despite her nether regions drying up from being so nervous, he seemed intent on forcing himself inside her.

As the solid flesh attempted to forcefully pave its way, causing her unbearable pain, Liena, in a moment of sheer desperation, yelled out.

    “Rhetrik!!”

    “!”

In that moment, it was as if a spell had been cast. He froze. The light returned to his once frenzied black eyes, and his twisted expression softened to one of confusion. To Liena, this brief pause felt like an eternity.

Feeling his grip on her loosen, she quickly pulled away, retreating as far back as she could on the bed. Cowering at the edge, with tears streaming down her face, she pleaded.

“Sob, I’m sorry. Please spare me. Please, don’t be this terrifying. You’re… You’re my alpha, aren’t you? You said you wouldn’t kill me! So, please, what will happen if I die? Please… wooo, wooo.”

Is he affected by my sincerity…? She thought for a moment, but the man’s face, which had been staring at her stupidly, suddenly contorted in rage. Terrified by his expression, Liena crawled out of the bed, trembling, her face soaked with tears.

His dark pupils quivered visibly above his twisted expression. Liena, keenly picking up on his subtle changes, called out to him with an urgent tone. Even so, her voice trembled with fear, afraid he might change into a beast again.

    “Y-Your… Majesty.”

    “Haa… D*mn woman.”

As he spat out curses while roughly wiping his face, Liena trembled in fear. The man, who had been staring at her with a lost look for a while, suddenly got up and put on his clothes before leaving the room.

In the chilly breeze that swept in, Liena finally collapsed onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. Whether it was relief from surviving or the absence of the terrifying man, her tension completely melted away, and she cried with her throat wide open for quite some time.

She had already cried her heart out twice today, and she felt she couldn’t bear it any longer while sober.

    * * *

Not knowing when she had fallen asleep, Liena opened her eyes slowly, feeling an odd sensation. She blinked her swollen eyes, trying to shake off the grogginess.

However, her body felt even more limp, and her mind seemed to float in the sky. Her consciousness was becoming hazy as if she were under the influence of a drug.

Suddenly, she shifted her gaze to a voice that seemed like an auditory hallucination. With her eyelids still heavy, she gazed at the large figure immersed in the darkness. Is it another ghost…? Yet, for some reason, she didn’t feel scared. Just more dazed.

    “Hello?”

    “…”

The voice was familiar. She was certain she had heard it somewhere…

The indistinct figure of a human gradually became clearer as it moved closer to her while she blinked her eyes against the darkness. The mysterious violet irises shimmered.

“I came because I wanted to see you. So, you can keep sleeping. This is just a dream you’re having.”

    “!”

It was definitely the man she had seen during the day. That strange man, who she doesn’t know whether he was a demon or a ghost. However, she couldn’t find her voice to speak. Her vocal cords seemed locked as if someone had stolen her ability to speak.

Seeing her distressed look, the man, with a mischievous smile, drew even closer. His lips, seeming almost within reach, exhaled a moist breath.

It was vivid enough to be more than a dream. Yet, the dreamlike feeling persisted, making her feel as though she was truly dreaming.

“I feel intoxicated by your scent. It’s the first time in my life. This intoxicating pheromone…”

His lips, which let out a sweet voice, brushed against her gently. His lips felt as moist as his sparkling violet eyes.

Could this really be a dream? Just as doubt started to creep in, his lips parted, and his soft tongue pushed its way into her mouth.

Her eyes closed on their own accord as she was enveloped in the soft rhythm of the kiss, where they exchanged breaths harmoniously.

    * * *

In the blinding sunlight, Lienna squinted her eyes, stretching her body out and yawning widely before settling back down.

As her eyes wouldn’t fully open, she blinked a few more times, considering whether she should sleep a little more. In that moment, a strange memory surged forward, flooding her thoughts.

“What’s this? What kind of memory is this…?”

She muttered to herself, recalling the dream from last night.

“Violet irises… a dense fragrance like flowers. And a sweet Kiss… Huh!”

Liena jolted upright, her face flushing crimson as she vividly recalled the dream from last night. She gripped her burning cheeks with her hands and fiercely slapped them.

“This is crazy! Did I dream of that man I saw briefly? And on top of that, a kiss?! Ugh!”

Her voice rose involuntarily, Liena quickly covered her mouth and looked around. Luckily, she was alone in the spacious room. She let out a sigh of relief and lay back down, gazing up at the ceiling. Soon, she muttered to herself in a mixed tone.

“Ugh… Is an Omega always like this, going into heat so often…? What on earth is happening to me…?”

Even just kissing that man had left her lower regions feeling sensitive. The captivating kiss, the desire to be touched by him—it was overwhelming. If she had been able to move or speak in her dream, she might’ve taken the initiative or even begged him for more.

Thank goodness it was just a dream. Otherwise, she might have made a huge mistake, especially to that terrifying man, with another guy at his place. Sigh.

The sensation still seemed to linger as Liena placed her hand on her lips. Her brows furrowed involuntarily due to the odd sensation. It felt as if her lips had been sucked and bitten all night.

It was probably because of what happened with Rhetrik that she had such a dream. As she imagined a man who was the complete opposite of the rough Rhetrik.

“Am I really in heat? Haa…”

She sighed deeply and turned onto her side. Now, Rhetrik came to her mind. The man who had acted like a maniac yesterday and coldly left her side.

“Why did he act that way?”
