Fatherly Love
Character Introduction:
Cha Juwon (Top): A man who lived a promiscuous life, undergoing a vasectomy at twenty. He’s indifferent, caring only about work and sex. When a young son suddenly appears, he takes responsibility out of duty, only to realize years later a peculiar form of paternal love.
Cha Dongha (Bottom): A quiet, overly perceptive child who wasn’t very childlike. Lacking in aegyo (cuteness) but highly intelligent and neat. At twelve, following his mother’s dying wish, he seeks out his biological father, only to fall into a deep, unrequited love.
Description:
“‘I’m Cha Juwon’s son.’
‘…’
‘Please raise me.’”
Cha Juwon, a man who’s lived a reckless and promiscuous life, is confronted one day by a remnant of his past. At twelve and twenty-eight, Juwon and Dongha begin an awkward cohabitation as father and son.
“‘The one you like… is me?’”
Years later, the two have grown accustomed to calling each other “Dad” and “Son.” But the familial bond tying them together begins to waver due to Dongha’s reckless actions…

“Cha Dongha.”
“…”
“Cha Dongha, open your eyes and look at me.”
His tightly shut eyelids slowly lifted. Long, delicate eyelashes trembled faintly. The moment felt agonizingly slow but breathtakingly beautiful. Cha Juwon didn’t deny that he was, once again, lusting after his own son.
“Do you remember what we did last night?”
“…”
“Remember, or not?”
The barely opened eyes squeezed shut again. Tears welled up, soaking the long lashes. Pitiful, heart-wrenching, and maddeningly beautiful. Like a beast tending to its young, Juwon licked the tears from Dongha’s eyes. Dongha’s back trembled in his embrace.
“You decide. Whether we keep doing this or not.”
“…What?”
“If you don’t want it, I won’t touch you. We’ll pretend it never happened. Last night was nothing, and nothing will happen moving forward. We’ll live like before.”
“…”
“But if you want to continue, even just a little…”
“…”
“Kiss me.”
