    Chapter Index

    Be kind to her.

    Maturely guide the awkward Eun-cho.

All his resolutions shattered in the face of absolute temptation.

Along with the pride of Ryu Tae-san, which hadn’t crumbled for over thirty years.

Tae-san opened his eyes to the faint dawn light filtering through the curtains.

He fumbled for the space beside him, but his wife, who had been sleeping soundly, was gone.

Though he had never shared a bed with anyone else, claiming it disturbed his sleep.

    Eun-cho was the exception.

He seemed to have slept well while holding the warm Eun-cho, like hugging a teddy bear.

    “…Eun-cho?”

Throughout the early dawn, Eun-cho had been fidgeting, burrowing into his embrace.

Now, contradicting those actions, when he reached out to touch the empty space, he felt the cold space where she had been, feeling the chill of the sheets.

She had been gone for quite some time.

    Tae-san frowned slightly.

Weren’t we good together? Was I the only one who went crazy?

They had practically stayed up all night the previous night.

Tae-san hadn’t held back in the slightest, fully realizing just how terrifying pent-up desire could be.

Tae-san couldn’t restrain himself at all.

He simply lost his reason, engulfed in a frenzied ecstasy.

    What about Eun-cho?

Every time he pushed her intensely, she was just barely keeping up.

Hitting him repeatedly with fists soft as cotton while stubbornly avoiding the shoulder he offered for her to bite when she couldn’t bear it anymore.

Her wet, whimpering voice was still vivid in his ears…

    “Did she run off?”

Tae-san brushed up his hair irritably.

Could I have been rejected on my wedding night?

    Me? Ryu Tae-san?

    That’s impossible. Damn it.

    “Huh.”

    Incredulous sighs kept escaping him.

Tae-san thoroughly searched the living room, study, bathroom, and other bedrooms, but

    Eun-cho was nowhere.

    Was it that bad?

Was Ryu Tae-san the only one who went wild?

    That’s the most pathetic thing.

When the woman feels nothing and remains detached, there’s nothing more humiliating than a man exerting himself alone.

His head throbbed with this belated realization.

This wasn’t the morning Tae-san had imagined.

Though he didn’t have any particular fantasies about their first night, he had vaguely thought they would at least wake up together in the same bed.

He had even planned to hold and comfort Eun-cho if she felt shy in the unfamiliar atmosphere…

“Hard to comfort someone who isn’t here.”

Even gulping down cold water didn’t clear his head.

He hadn’t even had any alcohol, yet he felt as miserable as if he were suffering from a terrible hangover.

    “Oh? You’re already up?”

At that moment, with the sound of the keycard unlocking, Eun-cho entered the room.

Except for her slightly flushed cheeks, she looked exactly the same as usual.

    If anything, she seemed composed.

As if she had erased everything that happened last night.

    You need to calm down.

“Where did you go without saying anything?”

Tae-san quickly scanned Eun-cho from head to toe

He brushed back his hair that had fallen in his irritation.

Though he tried to appear nonchalant, he couldn’t hide the slight annoyance in his voice.

Eun-cho was dressed in a turtleneck pulled up all the way to her neck and training clothes.

Could she possibly have gone out for a comfortable workout?

Are you even able to walk properly?

Questions he couldn’t bring himself to voice pounded around in his mouth.

“It seems Mr. Ryu Tae-san has a lot of stamina. Doing that all night…”

Eun-cho swallowed the rest of her words and smiled brightly.

Though he hadn’t heard it clearly, he could guess what she was about to say.

Somehow, she seemed a bit shy yet confident as usual, which was different from what Tae-san had expected.

This felt like she was teasing the Tae-san who had lost his mind last night.

It wasn’t Tae-san toying with Eun-cho, but the opposite—he was the one being played with.

    “Did you work out?”

“Jeong-seok said the fitness center here is really good. It seems hotel guests can use it, too. I went for a run.”

    “This early in the morning?”

It was barely past 7 o’clock.

Why did Ryu Jeong-seok have to say unnecessary things and cause this confusion?

Seriously, that brother of mine is no help at all.

Tae-san pressed his eyebrow with his thumb in irritation.

“When you live in the countryside, you don’t sleep in.”

What I mean is, how did you have that energy left?

I gave you everything I had; nothing remained.

Eighty percent went to Eun-cho; the remaining twenty percent was barely used to hold back.

Because he didn’t want to be the type of man who would roughly push a woman experiencing her first time.

Her reaction was much milder than his vague expectations.

There had been women who became clingy after spending the night, but never one who became more detached and cold.

He thought Eun-cho wouldn’t be different, but she certainly showed unexpected reactions every time.

“I’ll go take a shower first. You can use the other bathroom.”

    Her skillful attitude irritated him.

He wondered how long she could keep acting so aloof and composed.

Being the only one going crazy didn’t sit well with him at all.

“No need to be so formal.”

    Tae-san grabbed Eun-cho’s wrist.

It felt the same as the skin he had embraced last night.

Smooth, slightly sticky with sweat, it stirred a strange impulse.

Like the desire to press his lips against that sweet skin right away.

He felt all his nerves tightening.

It was a heightened, stimulated feeling.

Like a madman, all the time.

    “We can shower together.”

    “Oh my…”

    Finally, Eun-cho’s eyes wavered.

He liked this moment when those brown eyes, pretending to be indifferent and dignified, trembled slightly.

Tae-san smiled, curling up the corners of his mouth.

It was an innocent smile that no one could argue with.

Eun-cho glared at him and pulled down her turtleneck slightly

“You can say that after seeing this?”

    “Ah.”

Usually, he would leave marks with clothing in mind…

There were a whopping two very visible marks.

Below her collarbone, there were probably too many to even count.

Even he had to admit he’d gone too far.

That’s how much he’d lost his mind.

“That’s why I couldn’t go to the swimming pool!”

Her face, as she shouted indignantly, was adorable.

Indeed, Lee Eun-cho had the feisty flavor of Manboki, the sharp-tongued cat, rather than a docile white dog.

That yard cat that lived in the courtyard of the old house in Cheongnim Village.

Tae-san covered his face and giggled like a mischievous boy.

Eun-cho glared fiercely at Tae-san, then spun around and headed for the bathroom.

    “Really, you lecher.”

    What high praise!

It made him feel considerably better that he wasn’t the only one who had reacted so intensely last night.

    Was he really this simple-minded?

“If you want, I’ll wash you. Every nook and cranny.”

“I’m hungry. Let’s just clean up quickly and go out. We need to eat something before heading to Cheongnim-ri.”

Having finished speaking, Eun-cho hurriedly escaped into the bathroom as if running away.

Click. The sound of the door locking was perfect.

You’re always thorough with securing doors, aren’t you?

He smiled faintly and called the front desk. After a brief ring, a neat voice answered.

“This is room 2603. Please bring up all varieties of room service.”

Tae-san, who had been looking at the firmly closed door with a slight smile, turned away.

Since they would have many days together anyway, he could postpone this for now.

He was just curious about the expression Eun-cho might be making alone behind that closed door.

Preferably on the verge of tears, with her face turning bright red.

Eun-cho stared at herself in the steam-covered mirror.

    It was truly exasperating.

Was the marital relationship originally so sticky and licentious?

Tae-san had not only bitten and sucked all over her body but also left his marks everywhere.

Like someone who couldn’t bear not to.

The bedroom matters she had heard about from friends and the night she experienced with Ryu Tae-san were enormously different.

    Crucially…

‘No one told me you could do it that many times in one night.’

At some point, her memories became fragmented.

The stimulation was so intense that she couldn’t properly distinguish what was reality and what was a dream.

Because Ryu Tae-san had embraced Eun-cho until he collapsed from exhaustion.

Ryu Tae-san, who had seemed intent on devouring her from head to toe on the bed.

Once, after being carried to the bathroom wrapped in sheets, under the forceful stream of water.

And then again on the sofa…

    “Haa… it’s so embarrassing.”

Eun-cho covered her bright red cheeks, blocking the branches of indecent memories from spreading.

She felt she couldn’t tell anyone about this.

The space between her legs still throbbed and hurt.

It was as if traces of Ryu Tae-san’s touch still lingered on her.

In truth, at the fitness center that Jeong-seok had told her about, her legs had been so wobbly that she couldn’t even run and ended up just sitting on a bench.

It was a miracle she made it back to the room.

“They say ignorance makes you brave, seriously.”

You have to experience these things to know.

Perhaps the initiation was so grueling because she was belatedly going through something she should have experienced much earlier.

Besides, for a first time, her partner had been far too skilled.

Eun-cho squeezed the water from her hair and looked around.

These days, it seemed her job was to avoid Ryu Tae-san.

Though she was ultimately in the palm of his hand.

In her haste to escape to the bathroom, she hadn’t brought a change of clothes.

    Eun-cho frowned in dismay.

She would have to pick up and wear the workout clothes she had on earlier…

“Huh? Why is this on the floor?”

    No! No way!

The clothes she had neatly folded and placed on the sink were now scattered on the floor.

    Eun-cho’s eyes wavered in confusion.

    The misfortune didn’t end there.

She could only despair at the fact that the clothes were soaking wet and unwearable.

    “Eun-cho, is something wrong?”

To make matters worse, Ryu Tae-san was now urging her.

It was an impossibly awkward first morning of their honeymoon.
