My NPC is a Bastard

When I opened my eyes, I found myself as a character in a crime-themed MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). For a moment, I denied reality and felt despair. But after thinking it over, this life isn’t so bad.

A weekend enjoyed in a high-rise penthouse with a view of the city and a yacht. Even if I spend money like water, my bank balance never decreases, and her garage is filled with various supercars. 

Although the problem is that the money is criminal proceeds and the city is a city of crime. However, at the end of the day, those who are alive must live on.

“Hello, beautiful. I’ve been busting my ass trying to catch you.”

However, there’s no time for me to adjust. At 2 AM, a strange NPC suddenly barged in.

“Sit closer. I won’t bite.”

“Bite? What?”

“Is repeating everything I say your habit?”

“……”

“Fix it. It’s annoying.”

But things start to get stranger. The man, who was only pretty-faced but spewed trash whenever he opened his mouth, is an agent from the Crime Investigation Bureau. Using Riley’s criminal record as leverage, he forces me to accept his proposal.

“Then you’re just going to keep walking around like that? Showing off all your chest.”

The man, who seemed like he would chop her head off the moment she became useless, for some reason starts pretending to be a jealous husband. Rumors begin to spread that he and Riley have a romantic relationship.

“You seduced me.”

“Are you seeing things?”

The biggest issue is that even the person involved in the rumor misunderstands their relationship and believes they are dating on his own.

“Will you marry me?”

“No.”

“Playing hard to get. So cute.”

“Excuse me, are you out of your mind?”

“It’s fine. You’ll end up doing it.”

I never wanted this kind of development. I just want to go back. I desperately want to return to my peaceful, comfortable world where my family is waiting. I want to go back.
