The Bad Boss
“If you say that one more time, I’ll strip you and throw you out.”
He let out a hollow laugh and furrowed his brows.
“Do I look like a joke to you? Why is it that every time you see me, you ask for something? Seven years ago it was just one night, and now it’s for life? You want to marry me? Because you want to take it out on your ex-boyfriend? Answer me, Assistant Manager Ji Yoonchae.”
His face showed no hint of playfulness, but he wasn’t angry either. His relaxed tone sounded almost teasing, yet that sharp gaze of his remained the same.
“I’m fine with everything. Even if you have a seven-year-old child, I’d still accept you.”
It was something she said with all the courage she could muster. But he just laughed, as if it was too ridiculous.
“I’m not fine. I’m not.”
“Team Leader… no, I mean, sunbae….”
“Shut that mouth. The more you talk, the worse it gets. It’s beyond salvaging now. If you get drunk and propose again, I’m stripping you and throwing you out.”
And yet, that very man…
Isn’t our marriage just for show—just something that looks good to others?
“No.”
“Then what is it?”
“Because unlike the rumors, I’m someone who does everything properly. And if I’m going to get married, I intend to do it right. I’m going to give it my all—day and night.”
The bad sunbae returned—as her boss.
Was this really the right choice?
